Wonderful belated birthday dinner/Valentine's Day celebration. Food was outstanding - especially their famous lobster pie - wait staff was professional and very attentive. Sitting beside a roaring fire in the Old Kitchen room added to the ambiance plus the incredible history all around. And try the Coow Woow drink - exceptional. A beautiful snowy evening at the Wayside Inn.

Recently went to the Inn for their Annual Frank and Jack Evening and what a pleasant surprise and terrific evening it was. Cost was $50 and it included a full course prime rib dinner, five tastings of various flavors of Jack Daniels, along with an explanation of each one including tales of Frank related to JD and a singer singing... What a wonderful place to spend an evening. Surrounded by history and a warm fire I had such a nice time. The duck and acorn squash melts in you mouth. Good drinks and good service.

We had dinner last night is Longfellow's Wayside Inn. Besides the history and quaintness of the Inn itself, our dining experience was fantastic. The waitstaff were very friendly and more than attentive. A basket of bread and cheese on the table while you decide on drinks an dinner. Salads were a goodd size an fresh. The food arrived and everyone... More

Lived in Sudbury for over 40 years! One of our favorite places for celebrations: birthdays, graduation parties, Christmas dinners, reunions! It is a step back in time. I could spend the whole day here. Beside the Inn you can visit the Gristmill, Martha Mary Chapel, and the Little Red School House. A very special place!

My group of 8 had New Years Eve reservations that got cancelled at the last minute because the restaurant we were going to got sold. Bummer. At the last minute I got a reservation at the Wayside Inn. The last time I ate there (years ago) the food was fair but at last minute we didn't care about the food... More

My own history with the Wayside Inn dates back 45 years ago to when my family moved to the neighborhood. So many Sunday's spent here! I grew up here! I got married here, spent my honeymoon here, spent so many special and not-so-special occasions marked here. Loved the gift shop as it has changed over the years nice to see... More

The Wayside Inn was a family holiday treat last year, and so my wife and I returned this year. The place remains an historic marvel, and the staff is friendly. We ordered the special holiday menu with goose. The lobster bisque was thick with flour and overly salty. The goose was tough as an old shoe. So, my recommendation is... More

If you want to step back into colonial times and have excellent food, go to the Wayside Inn. Start with a delicious Bloody Mary, while you check out the menu. We have gone there for lunch for years around Christmas, it's now a tradition, with a brother and sister in law. A varied menue that harkened back in time. The... More

Went here with my family and sat in the smaller dining room to the left. It was a little dark, but it gave it that quaint feeling, which is the whole purpose of going there. Our server was wonderful. He was young and very accommodating. My mother and I got the lobster pie. Always our favorite choice! My husband got... More
