Hardy New England Fair

Went here for dinner. It is a historic inn and you will walk through the old part of the inn, but unless you get a drink at the bar you will probably be eating in the large dining hall addition, which is hardly historic. This disappointed the history buff in me but the friendly wait staff and good... read more

What a job they did.... I can't say enough about the quality and quantity of food prepared by the Wayside Inn. 120 guests and the staff were serving apps, the apps table was always full, sit down appetizer, salad, main course and dessert with a chocolate dipped strawberry were fantastic. Surf & Turf (Filet and Lobster Tail) were tops and... More

Great place out in the countryside that was built in 1716. It has a great restaurant with good service and there are about 10 or so rooms for a reasonable price.

After strolling through the extensive grounds (gristmill, white chapel, and gardens), our group was seated in the small dining room. The food was good. I had Surf and Turf (Lobster casseriole and prime rib), which was delicious, with apple pie and ice cream for dessert. Others in the party had filet mignon and berry pie. The wait staff was excellent.... More

We had a chance to get a quick lunch before the family wedding. We sat outside on the patio and had a memorable meal. We enjoyed the drinks that were specials (a lager, and two cocktails that were based on old drink recipes). The food was beyond delicious! The New England clam chowder was filled with clams, potatoes, and flavor.... More

I've passed by Wayside so many times during my travels to this region of Massachusetts, and I finally had the opportunity to dine at this American history spot. My two friends and I arrived in the afternoon for an early dinner. The place was packed, but quiet. The space is very small and dimly lit, which only added to its... More

My son and I had a lovely evening. The historic setting and ambient environment set the tone beautifully for our dinner together. Magda our server made super recommendations from the menu which certainly helped our experience feel extra special. She brought a taste for the kitchen of the Indian Pudding which we had never had before! If ever were in... More

I have eaten here numerous times over the last 10 years and considered it a destination restaurant. Recently I visited with my husband and his sister visiting from California. She enjoyed her lobster roll and raspberry sherbet with hot fudge; my meal was lukewarm and the prime rib was 50% fat. We were disappointed that the bakery is phasing out... More

Hidden away on a country lane is this gem! This beautiful place is enough to take your breath away. The dining experience does the same! The food was delicious with much of the food locally sourced! I had the Pecan crusted chicken and my husband had sautéed shrimp. The dessert of raspberry sorbet with homemade hot chocolate sauce was to... More
