B.T.'S Smokehouse is a dry-rubbed and slow-smoked barbecue restaurant located in the downtown section of Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Owner and Head Chef Brian Treitman is committed to delivering the very best barbecue to Massachusetts and beyond. Focusing on Southern-style cuisine, the menu offers natural grass-fed beef, chicken, pork, and other meats that have been dry rubbed and slow smoked for up to 24 hours with local apple and hickory woods. In addition to standard barbecue fare, the restaurant also offers more unusual entrees such as smoked salmon, chili made with brisket meat, and smoked turkey and chicken. We are also BYOB, so grab your favorite 6 pack on your way in. B.T.'S has won numerous awards since opening its doors, including the New England Regional Chili Cookoff and placing in the Top Ten Barbecue Restaurants in New England, and the Boston Globe named B.T.'S one of the "ten best places to bask in barbecue".

Stop here instead of a rest stop off of the Mass Pike

This restaurant is very conveniently located off of the Mass Pike. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and the place was packed! Had their ribs.......I think they serve St. Louis ribs, not the small pork ribs that fall off the bone. They were tough, not tender. The rice which came with the meal was overcooked. The price was $14.95 and not worth it in my opinion. It was crowded as it is very small inside and it took forever to be waited... More

This food is amazing, probably the best of its type in recent memory, and we're on the road 180 days per year for our work. In fact, we went out of our way on the return journey to make it in time for another meal. Two suggestions, though: I would much more strongly emphasize the "rule" of NOT saving tables.... More

We went here on a Sunday close to closing time. It smells wonderful and is very crowded. The food took a while but is delicious. The mini brisket sandwich is a perfect size to allow you to try some sides. Ribs were excellent!

This'll be the best brisket you will eat in at least 3 states. I love brisket and I live in maine. The best in maine is salvage bbq which comes in a close second to this place for brisket. This brisket is totally awesome and on par with the best in the USA including rudy's and blacks, and Franklin bbq... More

this restaurant is relatively new, great service, and the food is wonderful. If there was a rating higher than excellent, that would be my choice!!!

Authentic BBQ. Meat is delicious. Slaw and black eyed peas sides are perfect compliment. Bread pudding is a must. Friendly staff.

We tried to ear here a few weeks ago, it was so crowded you could not get in. I gad the chicken wings and slaw, hubby had brisket sandwich. It was so big it must have weighed s pound. Fries, where hand cut and the best. They have homemade ketchup. Yummy.
