I am often asked by customers where I eat in the area besides The Metro Bistrot. One of the first places that now come to my mind of numerous good meals is Cedar Street. I especially like their small plates as I find their portions fine, and the cooking delicious. I never hesitate to refer this place whenever I can.... More

We were meeting friends from the Boston area and we are from CT; this was a good halfway meeting place. We usually meet at the Whistling Swan and decided to try a new place. (Turns out both restaurants are owned by the same person.) The food was very good though the service was not the best. We ordered truffle fries... More

Cedar St was suggested by friends so three of us went last night. We were very disappointed from the start. Our waitress brought out tortilla chips and hummus for us to vanish in white making our dinner choices. The chips were soggy and the hummus was flavotless. For entrees two of us chose the catch of the day which was... More

We went for brunch, neither one of us found anything we wanted and left. With 3 booths open we were seated at a table that would have been hard pressed to hold 2 plates and coffees. Oh well, we went back to our usual just down the street.

We have been to the Cedar Street Grille a few times and when I asked my mom where she wanted to go when she visited for the holidays, that was where she picked. We arrived for our 7:00 reservation a few minutes early and were seated on time. However, it went downhill from there. It took what seemed like forever... More

Well, dear Traveler, if you'd read any of my other posts you will know that moi can get lost in a paperbag! So, in spite of allowing two hours for my 60-minute ride to Sturbridge, I got lost. From the local mini-mart I called Cedar Street for directions. I was grateful that the person who answered my S.O.S. was not... More

We were coming home to CT from Boston and Sturbridge was a good middle point. We quickly looked up restaurants and the Cedar Street Grille looked like a fine choice--and it was. Nice decor and atmosphere. My wife and I both had small plates. I had the special, which were two flank steak soft tacos with, I believe, a horse... More

I have eaten here at least 5 times in the past year - lunch, dinner and brunch. Had lunch today. Pork taco's were so good, husband had the special fish tacos - big pieces of cod and nicely dressed. Fair prices for the amount of food. Our server was very good - knew the menu, attentive, available when we needed... More

Had lunch with two friends who drove up from CT .Very nice atmosphere, good service, nice wine selection. Two of us had the chicken with bacon and avocado sliders and fries and one had another chicken sandwich which she asked for on the sour dough bread instead of the roll. She had the side salad instead of the fries. She... More
