I have to say....the breakfast was not good. I had Eggs Benedict and the sauce was kind of a grey mass. Definitely not made from scratch, very chemical tasting. Husband had stuffed French toast. Very sweet. Whipped cream was from a can. The atmosphere is great old New England but not impressed with the food.

Wonderful place for lunch or dinner, casual or special occasion. Nice menu choices. Love the turkey dinner any time of year and when on the menu the butternut squash bisque is one of the best I've had. Service is generally very good but can be a bit lacking when very busy. Have a cozy dinner in Ebenezer's Tavern. Check out... More

Food is totally awesome. They actually put coupons in the local newspapers, buy one, get one free, which makes it well worth going there often for us locals. Otherwise great for special occasions. They also have rooms to stay in, a bakery that has fantastic fresh baked goods too.

When in Sturbridge to visit the famous Old Sturbridge Village...we opted for lunch at The Publick House. Beautiful setting, convenient parking. The atmosphere is very warm here...definitely a New England Colonial spin on the decor...it fits this original antique home and also the theme of New England Colonial times, with Old Sturbridge Village just down the street. My husband ordered... More

Visited once. The food was ok but not spectacular, especially for the price. My husband and I almost left because it seemed the waiter was ignoring us most of the night. Waited for food too long and would have had another drink, had we been asked.

We went to Publick House on a recommendation and were glad we did. A wonderful rambling old (1771) Inn, we ate in the main dining room in front of a roaring fire in a huge fireplace. My wife had crab cakes and a spinach salad done perfectly, I had a cup of clam chowder, which was thick and loaded with... More

Beautiful antique-filled building and an outstanding menu offering everything from comfort food like Yankee Pot Roast, Roasted Turkey and too many mouth-watering dishes to tell! Visit their website: publichouse.com to see all you need to know. We loved the warm wide-plank floors and beams and the 6' hearth/fireplace warming us from a snowy drive. The drinks were awesome and each... More

Had never eaten here before, and do not plan to again. Food was not very good, served lukewarm at best by a waitress who really didn't seem to want to be there. Be prepared to wait a long time for your order to come to the table. With a menu that is not cheaply priced, one would expect the overall... More

This was my first return visit to the ph in years. I expected above average food and service but received neither. The food was presented in the same manner that I would expect it to come from my kitchen. The taste was fine but very poor presentation. The service was mediocre at best. The wait staff needs a lot of... More
