Good, Solid Grub in Historic Setting

Have been here a couple of times now and the food is always I don't know about dinner but lunch prices are great - they also have a deal where for a couple of dollars more you get soup or salad and dessert with lunch - good value. Crowded at lunch, plan accordingly. Bakery has delicious items... read more

The Inn was built in the 1770 and is well preserved and beautiful. The extended group of buildings are too far from the main building. The rooms are clean and our stay was pleasant. We attended a wedding, the perfect venue. The appetizers and dinner were delicious. This inn is family friendly.

i had been to this restaurant many years ago and I think that nothing at all had been changed on the menu. This was a good thing for me because I liked the food then and still like it. The portions were huge...the "thanksgiving dinner" that is always served and the pot pie, which I had were way too large.... More

We have stopped at the Bake Shop many times but this was our first dinner at the Public House. With a coupon (buy 1 get 1 free Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday) our meals were very reasonably priced. The Inn and the landscaped grounds are beautiful and the food was very good. Especially nice is the bread basket sampler delivered while... More

I was alone on business and so took a drive to this place, which was recommended to me by a coworker. Very nice atmosphere. I do not think I have EVER had a nicer waiter than I did here. Very prompt, courteous and helpful. The food was great too. I had the meatloaf (I typically don't like meatloaf but nothing... More

Last night I dined on BBQ under the beautiful white tent on the Publick House grounds. The food, setting and service was wonderful! It was one of their community dinners for a cost of $13 per person. So reasonable and for a good cause. Thank you Mr. Glick and the Publick House! I look forward attending more of these events.

We went there on a recommendation by the front desk at the Hampton Inn(be sure they give you the 10% off card with their name on it). The food was reasonably priced and the portions were huge. I had the turkey dinner and my wife had the chicken pot pie. Lots of leftovers from that meal! The Publick House is... More

For years, my sister has been raving about this one. We were in the area, and decided to try it. It did live up to the reputation. A little pricey, but definitely very good food.

This place was suggested by my hotel, so I walked over. Great colonial restaurant from 1777. I highly recommend the prime rib, it was fantastic. Nice staff and quick service. It was a bit pricey, but worth it. Came to $44 for dinner and 2 beers - plus tip.

My husband and I went to this beautiful, historic restaurant a few days ago, midweek. During the month of July, they were offering a coupon mid week for a two for one price. The hostess provided us with the coupon upon request. I don't know if they have other offers during the year, but we certainly appreciated the discount. We... More
