Always a favorite stop on way from NJ to MA. Fast service, fun shopping and plenty of good family food.

This was a convenient place to meet friends coming from several directions, and we needed a large table, not found everywhere for breakfast in Sturbridge, We're not really into grits and gravy! hey we're in New England! So most opted for sourdough bread/toast instead. Although not on the menu, two in our group did get omelets - not listed because... More

This Cracker Barrel restaurant is like every other one. It is fine to stop at for a quick meal when traveling instead of stopping at a fast food chain. However, beware that if you order eggs and the wait person asks if you want cheese, it will cost you an extra $1.20 for a few shreds of cheese. This should... More

CB's are always a "go to" when we travel, mostly because they are fairly dependable and affordable--plus we can usually find something on the menu that appeals. We were not disappointed with one sampler breakfast and one rainbow trout. The sampler breakfast was perfect and an added bonus of a "cinnamon glazed biscuit" that was featured item on the holiday... Other Cracker Barrels have always disappointed. When we spotted this CB in Sturbridge, I inwardly moaned, but - always a good sport, especially when accompanied by grandchildren - I agreed to eat there twice this past week. The first time, breakfast, was actually nice. Eggs were prepared as ordered, bacon tasted like bacon, the muffins and biscuits were great. Grits... More

the pancake breakfast there is the best. The taste of the pancakes is out of this world fresh and crispy edges. I love the little syrup bottles. Just don't forget to pay up front; they aren't great about reminding you they can't take your credit card or cash payment at the table.

Stopped by after an evening at Sturbridge. The food (meatloaf and catfish) was excellent! Even though the kitchen got the meatloaf order wrong, our server made it right immediately. He was very apologetic and quickly addressed the issue. We had sides which were very tasty. Too stuffed for dessert! Would go back again as the staff were all very pleasant!

Although we thought it looked crowded when we arrived, there was no wait time at all. The food was hot, delicious and hardly any wait time. The restaurant was VERY noisy so if you like "quiet" you may want to pick an "off time" to dine...early morning, mid afternoon or later in the evening. There are so many options for... More

My wife and I stopped for breakfast on our way back from Boston. We both had the special seasonal breakfast. Both of our meals were outstanding and the service was exceptional. They give you a lot of food for a very reasonable price.
