Charming restaurant with wonderful Italian cuisine and ambience. Very generous portions, attentive service, and Old World feeling. Who would expect such a wonderful Italian restaurant in the heart of Sturbridge? My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers and entrees. As they say in Italian Eccellente!

This restaurant offers good Italian food in a New England town: interesting wine list, attentive service, tasty food. Complimentary offerings included a yummy sausage bread. An interesting starter: fried olives. Everyone in our party enjoyed their dinners, which ranged from salmon to pasta to chicken to eggplant. The portions were large. Three of us took home leftovers. Desserts were so-so.... More

You'd think that being in Sturbridge Village territory, all the restaurants would be typical Yankee; i.e., colonial decor and traditional, hearty, New England food. Avellino has the coziness of the Colonials and the dining of the 21st century. Our party of 4 had a variety of dishes; all were beautifully prepared and served. Our server (can't remember her name) was... More

Time and time again, I have had a flawless meal. Service is attentive but not hovering. Setting is appropriate for a romantic meal or a large party. Rico performs magic in the kitchen and the cocktails are yummy! Definitely recommend.

The food was memorable. Lovely charming place, with service that was friendly, attentive but never obtrusive. Our server's wine suggestion was spot on - she brought us a small sample first to be sure we would like it. Our entrées ranged from delicious scallops and shrimp scampi to tasting vegetarian to a tender juice filet. The large antipasto was perfect... More

Food delicious, service exceptional, wonderful atmosphere, can't think of any thing I didn't like. I ate Downstairs and noticed something upstairs, will try that next time I go.

I had an enjoyable meal with friends. Enjoyed the calamari appetizer, I would recommend it. The risotto balls were ok but I wouldn't order again, the sauce served with it clashed with the taste. I had the short ribs, good but I have had better. Do order the dessert for 2, you get a great sampler and it is a... More

The dishes i had the last few times i came here were delicious. Their burrata is to die for , its so creamy and delicious. The Gnocchi Bolognese was amazing as well and i can't wait to go back. I'm a foodie for sure because overall if food is delicious i want to go back somewhere. I enjoy a nice... More

The atmosphere and food wee incredible. The antipasti was delicious as was the bread and oil for dipping. The Pasta Carbonara was outstanding...al dente buccatini, and crispy pancetta bites made the flavor oustanding, But best of all, for those who must eat Gluten Free, they truly "get it"! My wife is gluen intolerant and her pasta with bolognese sauce was... More

After a great experience with the regular dinner menu on a previous visit we decided to give the Sunday buffet a try. We started off with a selection of two salads, a garden salad and mixed greens with fresh croutons accompanied by two tasty salad dressings. The piping hot entrees were meatballs and Italian sausage in homemade tomato sauce, stuffed shells,...
