Olde American atmosphere and mostly comfort-food items on the menu, heavy sauces seem to be a specialty. Waiter was helpful but also very attentive, maybe because we were seated close to the end of the lunch opening, so he wanted to be sure things were moving along. Reservations accepted upstairs but not downstairs, so be sure you specify when you... More

First thing is that the chairs are upholstered and comfortable and I've always liked that. Their onion soup is the best, lots of calories but I can't resist it. Then, their lobster rolls are really good if they have them. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. But overall their American menu is good for a pub and I definitely... More

I went to Ebenezer's Tavern in the Publick House on 1/26 to celebrate my birthday with my husband. We have been here a handful of times and enjoy the food and the atmosphere, but the service is always a little lacking. A few times we had to wait a ridiculous amount of time to receive our check (after we flagged... More

After a long day at Sturbridge Village exploring and learning with the kids everyone was ready to relax for dinner. We originally had reservations for the upstairs dining but as the tavern doesn't accept reservations but we decided to eat downstairs as it appeared to be a bit more casual and informal important when dining with kids. The staff was... More

LOVE the cozy little pub feeling. Friendly bar tender. Couches are nice! Kitchen closes sort of early.

Food and Drink was plentiful and yummy! Because we stayed at Publick House overnight, the Tavern offered a free continental breakfast in the morning - very, very nice.

Came here the Sunday between the playoffs and the Super Bowl. Moderately busy, but we were seated immediately. Love the fireplace, hope to sit in front of it next time. Service was great, drinks were liberal and delicious, food is delicious. One flaw- friend prdered her salmon sans sauce, it came smothered, waiter whisked it away, returned a few minutes... More

I dined here while staying at the Publick House, and though the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, I was not impressed with the food. The clam chowder was way too thick, the caesar salad was pretty standard and the crab cake was greasy. I'd hoped for better. and maybe on another night or with different choices I'd have a different... More

A Colonial American atmosphere in keeping with the Publik House and Town of Sturbridge is the theme of this busy restaurant. The dress is casual, but the food and service is very good. A basket of delicious homebaked breads is brought first. Their Famous Pecan Rolls are a sinful treat. One may order from a dinner menu or lighter fare... More
