Great little spot if you can wait

Recently took my wife there for a last minute dinner. We've been before, but not for a few years. We enjoyed our meal (crab cakes were awesome, salmon was v good) - I'd say a fair criticism of the place is the slow service (took 20-30 mins just get a drink) - they clearly need to hire some... read more

Stay away if you expect a fine dining experience. Food was very poorly prepared and tasted like it was microwaved several times. It was also awfully salty and full of cracked pepper. Service is slow. There is one waitress serving the dining room. She actually took off in the middle of taking our order! Most of the positive reviews are... More

The food and waitstaff is fabulous. My husband and I have never been disappointed with the dinner entrees.

New to the city and thought my friend and i would try this place..Within 5 minutes i felt something itchy on my leg..I looked down and there was some kind of gross bug..i jumped up and had my friend take it off..everyone there saw what happened and i am sure we ruined their meals..The place looks nice but they got... Went with friends for dinner before the theater. Shortribs were very good, but the place has a definite ant infestation. Haven't been back since they remodeled. Hopefully they addressed this problem.

Everything was great, except that they ran out of scallops. So I opted for the duck and it was really good. Its nice to see a variety of risotto's on the menu. We informed them that we were going to the theatre and gave ourselves 75 minutes, but the food still took longer then expected, even with our notice, so... More

Don't let the storefront on Main St. in Stoneham Square fool you--this meal can hold it's own with the best of the urban spots. We have been a handful of times over the past year and have been consistently impressed. Most recently, we shared the calamari appetizer, which was one of the best ever. I am not even a huge... One of the best meals in a long time. Sure. downtown Stoneham is not the North End and lacks the ambiance and excitement. But the food is absolutely fabulous. It is like a storefront restaurant and upon entering, you will see the white tablecloths and an open kitchen. I presume everything is fresh and made from scratch. Our waiter was... More

We also tried this restaurant on a Groupon and we loved it. The food was excellent and fresh. The prices are a little steep, but comparable to other restaurants of this type. It is small and cozy and you get the service that you would hope for in a restaurant this size. The staff was very friendly. We highly recommend... More

We recently went to Melissa's Main Street Bistro with a Groupon. We had never heard of Melissa's before (which is why Groupon is a great idea). There were 4 of us, and we all ordered difference dishes. Everything, and I mean every thing we ordered was perfection from the appetizers (asparagus wrapped in prosciutto) to the salads (caprese was delish,... More
