The Lion's Den pub, located downstairs at The Red Lion Inn, offers entertainment seven nights a week, and never a cover charge. There's different entertainment each night, with regular appearances by local performers including David Grover, the Sun Mountain Fiddler, and the Housatonic Philharmonic, offering everything from acoustic folk to R&B, and reggae to the blues. Some nationally recognized performers have been known to grace our humble pub stage from time to time - James Taylor, Lauren Ambrose and Roger Salloom among them.On chilly nights ask for a table by the fireplace and enjoy a genuine pint of ale or stout, a glass of your favorite wine, or a mug of hot mulled cider - all accompanied by our classic pub fare. The Lion's Den is open (until 1 a.m. on weekends), with entertainment from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday and entertainment from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. House guests can access the Lion's Den through the Tavern, or by entering beneath the red awning on Main Street.

Good Food, Great Fun

Simple pub menu, but a great atmosphere and a community favorite. Live entertainment...check ahead as I am not sure what night, I think it is Friday.

Very small sitting area. You definitely go to this bar to have a drink a move on. Could get a table close to bar just to have a beer.

We opted for drinks and a bite at the more casual pub after meeting my brother at the RL Inn over the holidays. It was crowded, plus there was a live music act, but we finally managed snag seats at the bar. Service was good, considering how packed it was and the atmosphere was very warm and cozy, like you'd... We had an okay meal consisting of panini ( 1-eggplant and mushroom and 2- bacon) accompanied with fries which were good but cold, the service was slow as molasses. What made the experience worthwhile was the evening music- soft rock.

I usually drop by the Lion's Den for a beer or two after a hike (or a stroll around Stockbridge). Food is an occasional, but not necessary, option. But the beer selection is excellent and the location has history you can't ignore. Well-recommended.

We visited the Lion's Den on December 13. We came here to see musicians Roger Salloom and Tommy Mac, driving from Southampton MA. This was our first visit to the Den, and we found the atmosphere warm and cozy on a late autumn night. The food was good and it's a great place to listen to live local music. We... More

I come to Stockbridge every year and always stay at the Red Lion Inn. We have eaten at the pub a few times and love it. We had prime rib and the grass fed burger the last time we ate there in December. Both were excellent and the service was great too. The portions were large and the food was... More

We arrived around 7 pm and had a hard time finding a table-but finally did. The band started around 8:30 and everyone had a great time singing along and playing the harmonica. Stayed til the end. Great fun.

The Lion's Den is a great place to relax and chat or really whatever you want it to be. They have mixed drinks and great beers on tap. It's not really a sports bar although there is one TV by the bar. There is live music there most nights and on these cold fall and winter nights.....you can sit by... More
