I had lunch at the lovely and elegant Red Lion Inn in Sturbridge, Massachusetts while touring the Berkshires. Thanks to the current and previous owners who preserved the history and maintained much of the original furniture and China, it was like stepping back in time. The tables were set with white tablecloths and fresh flowers, the service was excellent. I... More

The Red Lion Inn has been an historic fixture in Stockbridge, MA for about 200 years. The Inn, Dining Room and Lounge are all furnished with antiques and collectables that make it an interesting place to visit. It's the place to go for food or drink when you are in Stockbridge. The dining room menu for lunch and dinner has... More

I only had breakfast in the dining room but it was spacious and filled with antiques. The waitstaff were very attentive.

This eatery has seen its day. The food was not great but the price is. Our waiter was dressed in a shirt that should be burned. The room was dingy and dark with fling insects. My wife's entry came out under cooked and had to sent back. This for almost two hundred is unacceptable. There are so many places to... More

Had dinner in the tavern not the main dining room since I wanted more of a simple dinner rather than the high end food I n the dining room. Had fish and chips and a beverage. The total came to over $20. Menu too expensive and upscale for tavern food, need to update menu. The food I had was very... More

The Red Lion Inn is certainly a legend in itself and since we were going to be in the area to go to Tanglewood, we made a reservation for dinner. Arrived early and since it was such a beautiful night, we chose to sit outside rather than in the dining room. Hostess was very accommodating and it was only a... More

We had dinner here during our stay at the Red Lion Inn. Diners were dressed nicely, certainly not a jeans/tee shirt restaurant. The service was excellent, and prices comparable to upscale restaurants. The food was very, very good, with a creative American menu. All in all I would highly recommend!

Our bar tender was very nice. We preferred the name gins than the local. Very old inn and good for antique lovers, not us. One visit is enough.

My family and I enjoyed a dinner in the elegant dining room. To be honest I was skeptical whether a place that looked so nice and had so much history would feel any pressure to deliver on food. When the food came, the samples I shared of other people's meals and my own were all very well cooked. Not particularly... More

We were originally planning on dining in the Courtyard but the evening was not conducive to outdoor dining and we ate in the main dining room instead. I expected it to be quaint, but it seemed old fashioned, out of date and in great need of being freshened. In addition, the menu was overpriced in comparison to other restaurants in... More
