Great for Special Occasions

We had a grand birthday meal here for my husband. It's pricey but the food is remarkably good American-style fare that pairs well with the rich history of the place. Not sure if they were just coming off an Easter brunch or what, but the flowers on every table were just stunning. It was also quiet... read more

After visiting the Norman Rockwell museum we stopped here for lunch. Lovely lunch of Quiche and Cobb Salad. Great selection of breads in Bread basket . Fresh Flowers on all the tables with cloth tablecloths. Lovely Had a nice Chat with hostess-Normans studio used to be across the street and "back in the day" many celebs, and politicians stayed at... Stopped here for lunch after Norman Rockwell museum mostly because they said he use to eat there. It must have been better back then. The turkey was just OK needed help because at $16 for a sandwich I want to be wowed. All 6 of us agreed it was over priced for just average food ( burgers soup, salads ).

The Red Lion Inn restaurant was a wonderful experience. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you are leaving the 20th century. The bar area was very unique and antiquated. The dining room equally felt historic. The food was perfect; salad was extremely fresh. I had the wild caught salmon, which was done just perfect, my friend had... More

My 4 sisters, 2 cousins and I all got together recently for Sisters’ Weekend out in the Berkshires. Naturally, lunch at The Red Lion Inn was at the top of our priority list … and it did not disappoint. Some of us had been there before while others had not, but suffice to say, we will ALL be returning sooner... More

We were in the Stockbridge area once again and it was time to eat. So we went to the Red Lion Inn for Lunch. The service was the best ever, anywhere we have ever been. Extra special!! Stopped at the Red Lion Inn for an early dinner. The food was very good, but I felt the prices were slightly higher then the food warranted. The service was very good. The Red Lion Inn is a very old building and you can feel that age in the building.

Well presented and cooked food. Quality ingredients and very pleasant service from a very charming waitress. The tables are well spaced, linen and fresh flowers on the table and the lighting is intimate but not so dim that reading a menu is a problem. We had appetisers ($14 each) - a salad and shrimp with cocktail sauce, we both ate... More
