Red Lion Inn is great place!

We had dinner last weekend at the Red Lion Inn to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We made reservations through the "Open Table" app. It worked well. Our meal was excellent. We had shrimp cocktail, salad, Prime Rib. We ordered desert coffees after our meal. Wen we were served our... read more

Norman Rockwell doesn't live here anymore and Currier and Ives may be a little out of fashion. Still, Stockbridge at Christmas time is an iconic time capsule of bygone New England. The reception at the front desk is cheery and the main dining room is packed, mostly with oldsters for lunch. I didn't do a scientific survey, but the odds... More

A year does not go by without meeting our relatives at the Red Lion Inn for lunch on a Saturday!! Make reservations so you won't be disappointed! The food is great, comfort food and something for everyone! Take time to look around, many famous folks have been and it's history is amazing! Enjoy your visit!! We always do!!

Every meal here, from breakfast to dinner plus late night bar snacks downstairs in the lion's den has been excellent. I try to find my way here at least twice a year, and savor the experience.

This has been on our travel bucket list for quite a while. We had lunch in the outdoor area a couple years ago, and kept meaning to go to dinner here. On our December trip we finally did so. I noticed the reviews seemed to be quite divided, and my conclusion is that if you want that old New England... More

We will not forget the exquisite dinner served that included the nightly special (Haddock crusted with Dijon breadcrumbs with potato fingerlings and kale) along with the brown sugar cake topped with coffee ice cream and caramel sauce!

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at the Red Lion Inn and had dinner there both nights. The prime rib and shepard's pie were excellent, but the seafood newburg over buttered noodles was to die for. I'm really looking forward to having it again when we return for another visit.

You can't beat Stockbridge for a family visit in the winter and if you do go, you need to try and book a room at the Red Lion Inn. If it's booked, then at least eat there at one of its three restaurants. The main dining room is right out of the Colonial times and the food is reasonably priced... More

The Red Lion is the historic inn in downtown Stockbridge. There's been an inn on the property since before the Revolution. Blah..blah..blah. Definite tourist trap...uh...spot. Had lunch in the tavern off the dining room. Hotel boasts of having colonial antiques, but there was a Disney lunchbox hanging from the ceiling. Food was ok. Service was ok. A little pricey for... Class....just a simple breakfast, poached eggs on corned beef hash, toast with homemade jelly, fresh squeezed orange juice, good coffee. The corned beef was homemade, simple, not salty yuck. The service was great. Food was hot. Ambiance was great. It's not every day we spend $50 on breakfast (with tip), but it was worth it. Cool gift shop and Simon... More
