After the Rockwell Museum we decide to venture into Stockbridge in search of food and I am very glad that we did! We started out on what is probably one of the best front porches ever! In wicker chairs that have probably been there since the turn of the last century we sipped cool drinks and nibbled on snacks while... More

Well cooked and flavoursome food in a very olde worlde main dining room. I enjoyed the distinctiveness of the experience and the service was friendly.

Entering the Red Lion Inn is in itself a historical tradition. Sitting in the main dining room transports you to an elegant home of another time and place. The lace curtains, glass doors, curtained private areas, candlelight and floral accents create a slightly romantic setting. Our mixed drinks were well done. Our meals: beef rolled with spinach and cheese/ asparagus/... More

The Red Lion Inn is an institution in this area of the Berkshires with a charming front-porch appearance on the main street in Stockbridge. The dining room has great natural light and ambience with traditional chicken pot pie and fish and chips. The food and service are first rate.

If you stay at the hotel you cannot miss their brunch! It's a last century experience, it could be a late 19th century experience, too as the furnishings and pottery are quite old. The staff is attentive and the menu, a bit expensive, but worth the while.

If you're looking for casual dining in a lovely outdoor setting, their Courtyard is a must! Always have had good service & food is tasty. Definitely make it a stop when in Williamstown.

The food was excellent, as was the service. It's an annual stop for us at this time of year, and we're never disappointed with Sunday dinner.

Red Lion never fails us. Wonderful meal, attentive and knowledgable staff. Bit disappointed the dress code has slipped, as we are traditionalists who still dress for dinner.

During our stay in the red lion inn, we decided to dine in the hotel restaurant. The decoration of the restaurant is classic/romantic, like the hotel. The food was very nice, the service swift.

Really don't find many of these 'quaint' hotels/restaurants anymore so I guess we shouldn't have been surprised by how popular it was even at lunch time. Fortunately - having stumbled on it at 11:45 didn't need a reservation but by the time we left at 13:00 the place was packed. Staff all very pleasant, smiling and appropriately attentive without being... More
