Wonderful Atmosphere

According to my grown son, we had to stop here. He remember the Inn fondly, from when he was a little boy ( living in Pittsfield) Ate lunch on the patio. Shared a salad with my husband. Nothing special, but very good. The best part was walking from room to room in the Inn. The bar is a stunning... read more

We stopped by for breakfast on a Sunday morning, on our way to the Rockwell museum. The apple pancake was amazing, the French Toast was perfect and the hash browns were the most delicious I've ever had. The menu was contemporary without going overboard. If you are in Stockbridge MA, be sure to stop here.

Stopped there with friends on what turned out to be a rainy Saturday summer night for a drink on their fabulous porch (complete with rockers) and ended up having dinner in the pub in the basement (vice dining room or Tavern, since we were not dressed for the occasion.) The Inn is very well known and quite popular in summer.... More

Delicious breakfast in the lovely dining room. Excellent coffee. Dining room and most of Red Lion in desperate need of updates and paint and general attention to detail.

Passing through town near the end of breakfast serving time of 10:00 am, we stopped here and had a very nice experience. Service was excellent, decor charmingly dated, music subdued. Nice menu options that were a bit pricey, but our food was delicious. My frittatta with prime rib, caramelized onions and cheddar cheese was exactly the way this dish is... More

This restaurant is the only game in town for fine dining This lack of competition results in higher prices and limited selections I do enjoy eating outside on the patio.and the food is good and the young people serving are very likable Stockbridge is a nice town but the surrounding towns of Lee,Lenox and Great Barrington have better dining options.

Start off just wandering around the lobby - transports you out of this century! Food was delicious; service was a bit slow, but we were there with friend and so conversation took the place of food for a while. Good sized portions of very varied foods. Good wine list. A tradition waiting to happen to you!!
