We recently stayed here so enjoyed a hearty breakfast here on 2 mornings. The gluten-free rolls were very tasty and everything that the rest of my hungry family was served went down very well. The staff were all very helpful, most polite and friendly and were only too pleased to accommodate our tricky dietary needs (gluten-free, nut-free and shellfish/meat-free). THe... More

After literally years of passing by on the way from Massachusetts to New York, and saying 'we need to try them' finally had opportunity to stop for lunch after a visit to the nearby National Shrive of the Marians which is just up the hill. I don't know if it was just expectations were high or that it truly was... More

There were four of us, we ordered the sausage, the lamb Shepherds Pie, the swordfish, and the pork chop. Oh my goodness it was so good. Our server was fast and friendly. We had never been to the Red Lion before and were blown away with the taste and service. Thank you

A friend and I were in the area on business and came here for lunch. Unfortunately, the hostess stated that The Den area was closed for lunch so we were seated in the dining room. Never again! It is way overpriced and the offerings are cheap. We started with bad bread and crackers in a basket. A $14.00 salad that... More

First of all I am very sorry that you did not have a an enjoyable experience and although we are very much a tourist destination we try to make each guests experience personal and positively memorable. Delightfully seasoned. . . I mean everything! That chef knows how to cook! The House Chop salad was marvelous, so was the salmon, chicken and filet mignon. Breakfast was beyond excellent. My husband got a baked apple pancake that he couldn't stop talking about!

The meal was delicious and the service impeccable. A fresh rose in the vase on our table was a very nice touch. The food was fresh and elegantly plated. The whipped butter was delicous with the bread basket. The Roasted Native Turkey Dinner and the Warm Brown Sugar cake were amazing.

Although "to the 9s" in the Berkshires still means casual. Short menu choices, but excellent food and presentation. Make a reservation -- the lines are long.

This seems to be a place resting on its laurels. Our meal was fine, nothing amazing, nothing terrible, but the evening was ruined by the arrogance of the pompous man 'in charge' that evening, who was rude beyond anything we've ever experienced in the US, a country that prides itself on good service. Would never step foot in the place... More
