The service was fine, the salad tasty but the entree was less than expected. When I get a scallop dish that only includes 3 scallops as a meal, no matter how good, that is not acceptable.

Its been more than a year since we were at Tomasso's, but we have found it to be very uneven. Sometimes the food is good and the service is good, other times it is a big disappointment (more often than not). I've stopped going.

Been going to this place for years and it was always good but the last years it has been loosing a bit of its shine. I have to wonder how a restaurant can keep its high quality year after year and I am sure it is difficult. Tomasso's unfortunately hasn't really managed to do so. Had three courses tonight and... This is one of the best spots in the area. Excellent chow and a good selection of wines. Service generally good... tables are small and close together (a little less than desired for this price point). All of the menu items are good, but particularly like the steak and the pastas. A little pricey.

Good food, good varied menu but pricey particularly the wines/drinks. Two large seating areas are loud. Love the food but not the prices. Good service.

My wife and I just had dinner at Tomasso Trattoria to celebrate a new job for our friend in the other couple we went with. We had reservations and arriving on time our table was waiting. Still or sparkling water was quickly offered and then our server came over and went over the menu as it was the first time... More

We took a chance at Tomasso since it was recommended by a friend. Dimly lit, clean, well decorated, and packed, Tomasso's looked the part, but then the food came, and it was one disaster after another. First, the bread and olive oil that came to the table was bland. It was such a boring bread, olive oil combination that I... More

This was a nice place with decent atmosphere, but the food was not really worth the price. The antipasto was good, but the salads and the steak entree were really not good. The steak was supposed to be medium well, but was extremely well done with no moisture left in it. The portions were very small and the presentation just... More

We have had several "wine tasting" dinners here and have always come away with a favorable impression. These dinners allow you to meet the chef and sommelier and get an insight into their philosophy. The food has always been meticulously thought out, prepared and presented. The wines are eclectic and a perfect match. The wine list and the nightly menu... More

Tomasso is always on our restaurant rotation. I've reviewed it before, it's always good, but be forewarned, it does have its critics. Edgy, no red sauce, and pricey for the suburbs all make it a bit controversial. Oenophiles and foodies love it; the unwashed masses not so. We were in Friday evening for a restaurant-sponsored wine dinner (this time featuring... More
