Goat Stew!

I'm not a big fan of goat but my husband ordered it and I have to say it was pretty darn good. I liked the buffalo brussel sprouts and mark and stormy was perfect (It's strong) You have to go early, the line started at 445 for a 5 opening. We went with friends that have been there before and... read more

This place has a different selection of food and all that we had was excellent. Veal on polenta, goat stew, Cuban reuben, jambalaya - that's a wide selection and it was all delicious (if you ask to remove the shrimp from the jambalaya - ask for more chicken). And you MUST start with the buffalo brussel sprouts. They had a... More

The food and service was very good but the music was way too loud and it spoiled everything else so I only gave it a 3

Highland Kitchen is always a great time. The drinks are of high quality and are of course typical Boston/Cambridge prices. The wait is typically long so get a drink at the bar while you wait. The food comes out quickly once you are seated and it is always properly done.

I visited Highland Kitchen for brunch one Sunday. We heard they had a bluegrass band playing, so we were all in! The wait to be seated was extremely long, but they have a bar so we were able to get drinks and hang out (admittedly awkwardly since we were standing in a crowded area) until they seated us. But that... More

I sat in the open windows one Memorial day Sunday with my Brother and Nephew and watched the Mem Day parade march right by the window. What a kick.. We grew on Highland Ave just up the street from the Kitchen . We watched that parade every year from the tops of our cars parked in our driveway. It was... More

Fun place to go. Definitely a little on the pricey side, but the food and portion size are both very good. They've always got good specials and very good cocktails. Only complaint would be the atmosphere - it's definitely a noisy place. Expect to miss some of what your dining companions are saying.

This one of my favorite restaurants in the Boston area. The buffalo Brussels sprouts are the reason half the town knows about this place, but my favorite dish is the Cuban Reuben. The vibe is timeless, the music is good, and the bartending is great. It's a fun date spot and/or friend spot, reasonably priced, with a solid menu regular... More

Awesome food with southern flare. We always get the beignets to start. I have a hard time passing on the fried green tomatoes or the dirty bird – fried chicken and biscuits with eggs and bacon. The only downfall if you feel like you need to workout afterwards. This place is so good.

I have been to Highland Kitchen many times. I bring visitors here all the time and they are always happy. We have tried many dishes and have never been disappointed. The menu is fun and the basics are brought to a high level of flavor and quality. This is the kind of place where you can feel the joy of... More
