Nice smaller place with a large variety of theoretically Peruvian food... which I'm willing to believe, it was different enough. The manager spent a lot of time going over the choices with us, which was nice, but the sheer variety was a bit daunting. The house Peruvian wine is actually pretty good; we had a french style chardonnay. Staff was... More

We were looking for a place to eat in Somerville and stumbled upon this place. Was a good find. The staff was extremely solicitous and nice - making sure we understood what was on the menu and would enjoy what we ordered. Everyone did like what they got. The decor was cute and there was live music. Would go back... More

Peruvian food is wordly known for being t-a-s-t-y. I visited Macchu Picchu restaurant last week, and got very disappointed. Food is about quantity here not quality. The presentation is less than ok, because is overall dried and no vegetable:proteins:fats:carbs ratio whatsover. Not healthy food, not tasty either but very overpriced.

We walked over to Machu Picchu for dinner because other restaurants in the neighborhood were too crowded. Quality of food here was quite good. Interesting selection of Peruvian dishes. The staff and kitchen are really trying hard to please their customers, and they are succeeding. We would definitely return here when we visit Somerville again.

Thinking of our family south of the border and wanting to enjoy some home style cooking in a casual atmosphere, we found our first visit to Machu Picchu delightful! The Latin rythym playing in the background certainly helped to wet my appetite for a new experience, longing for something other than Chinese or Italian for one night! Our waiter was... More

I had no idea what to expect from Peruvian food (I have never visited Peru or even South America), but I thoroughly enjoyed this place. The menu had a nice variety of food. We got a selection of starters for the table, which were really tasty (the meat was so succulent). For a main I went for the ceviche (one... More

Plus great service. Quick service. It was recommended to me by a few locals. Chicken is very well done and they do a nice job of veggies.

Went with my girlfriend and a couple friends on a quiet night. We ate the selection of starters ("Piqueo Machu Picchu"), which was superb, especially the chicharrones. For the mains, we had ceviche and another "Piqueo" selection of main courses. Highlights were the delicious ceviche, aji de gallina and the carapulcra. The selection of mains was a bit stew-heavy, mind.... More

was out here with office colleagues and friends. I had Quinoa Stew-a glutten free grain made with vegetables and farmers cheese. it was an interesting dish, not too many options for vegetarians but it was good. Drinks were very good, the Peruvian drinks were amazing.
