Solid Italian

Went here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch with a big group. The restaurant is not that big so we took up much of the space. We had good service and solid food. We ordered a range of dishes, including many of their homemade pastas. We also got a variety of appetizers for the table. All of the food... read more

Coming from NY I appreciate good pizza. And while this restaurants boasts other meals, I decided to try their pizza. If I had to review this place sole my on that I would give this 2.5 stars. But I will update my review once I have a full dinner there. As for the pizza, the ingredients seemed laid on, with... More

Love, love, love this place. Went there as a group for my birthday because I knew everyone could find something delicious. I had steak tips with garlic-sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes. Best I have ever had. Cooked perfectly and falling-apart tender. Delicious marinade. Others had lobster ravioli with a seafood sauce, fettuccini Alfred with pan sautéed chicken, linguine with clams...everyone... More

This restaurant, in an out of the way corner of Ball Square, is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. Being somewhat old and decrepit, my wife and I often want to have a nice dinner in a quiet place where we can actually hear each other speak. That requirement, 'quiet', is very difficult to find within Davis Square, which obviously... More

On a warm summer evening my husband, son and I decided to go to our local favorite restaurant Pescatore to cool off an enjoy a simple meal. We started with a shared appetizer of mussels with a chosen broth of garlic and oil that arrived with a perfect presentation of tiny, delectable shellfish fanned out on a plate. The broth was... The sign on the window suggests brunch is a new offering. My wife and I had the "classic" breakfast. We asked for breakfast sausage. We received Italian sausage cooked in oil with thin sliced green/red peppers. Tasty and somewhat spicy from the meat. Potato is the sole type of hash which were quite similar to home fries except no "crunch".... More

I didn't go into Pescatore for the longest time because originally it had been this little hole in the wall fish restaurant, run by a brother and two sisters, taken over from their Dad. I loved that place, they were friendly and I ask you, where can you get a fish sandwich for $3.25, that hangs way over the bun...nowhere... More

We had a near-perfect dining experience at this unassuming and out-of-the-way place recommended to us by a friend. Had to cross the city from one end to the other, but it was worth it. One of us had the grilled, perfectly-done tuna (rare) and the other a sumptuous seafood and pasta platter. Everything was properly cooked, the pasta homemade, the... More

Our group of four had a wonderful, relaxing and gastronomically terrific evening. The staff of this family owned restaurant was most welcoming and attentive and the food was of the highest quality. The selections are diverse and the red sauce is to die for!!
