Solid Italian

Went here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch with a big group. The restaurant is not that big so we took up much of the space. We had good service and solid food. We ordered a range of dishes, including many of their homemade pastas. We also got a variety of appetizers for the table. All of the food... read more

The sign on the window suggests brunch is a new offering. My wife and I had the "classic" breakfast. We asked for breakfast sausage. We received Italian sausage cooked in oil with thin sliced green/red peppers. Tasty and somewhat spicy from the meat. Potato is the sole type of hash which were quite similar to home fries except no "crunch".... More

I didn't go into Pescatore for the longest time because originally it had been this little hole in the wall fish restaurant, run by a brother and two sisters, taken over from their Dad. I loved that place, they were friendly and I ask you, where can you get a fish sandwich for $3.25, that hangs way over the bun...nowhere... More

We had a near-perfect dining experience at this unassuming and out-of-the-way place recommended to us by a friend. Had to cross the city from one end to the other, but it was worth it. One of us had the grilled, perfectly-done tuna (rare) and the other a sumptuous seafood and pasta platter. Everything was properly cooked, the pasta homemade, the... More

Our group of four had a wonderful, relaxing and gastronomically terrific evening. The staff of this family owned restaurant was most welcoming and attentive and the food was of the highest quality. The selections are diverse and the red sauce is to die for!!

We were visiting relatives in Somerville and dined at Pescatore twice in the last year and a half. The most recent visit was in early June 2014 for dinner. Ordered the roasted chicken. There was more bones than chicken, and the chicken itself was bland. Service was slow and not attentive. The restaurant faces west and catches the late afternoon/evening... More

Driving past Pescatore this week I couldn't help but think that I am glad to have quality dining in a beautiful atmosphere in a local restaurant! Not only do I enjoy a visit to the restaurant for casual but elegant dining with friendly, personal service providing excellent cuisine; but often we order dinners or pizza for pick up on nights... Pescatore is an Italian seafood lover's dream, especially for people from a place such as New Mexico, where excellent seafood is a special treat! Small, quiet and romantic with attentive service. Pescatore offers beautifully prepared and presented Italian pastas with seafood. My wife loved the lobster ravioli; I loved the seafood risotto. Ummmmm. Decent wine list and very reasonable prices.... More

When four Italians (three born and brought up there) are unanimous in their praise of the quality of the food in a restaurant that offers Italian dishes only, it says a lot about just how good it is! Even the basket of bread deserves high praise. The Fusili Amalfi (Fra Diablo, of course) was simply delicious, with a sauce that... More
