So, forget all the other burger places in and around Boston. This to me, is the best! You can see it being prepared, there are a multitude of choices, and everything happens with smiles. AND plenty of free places to pahk your cah! Don't miss it.

I still have dreams about Tim's Tavern, a Boston South End dive that had the best burgers in town. It's been closed for almost a decade, so finding a comparable experience has haunted me and other Boston burger buffs for a long, long time. R.F. O'Sullivan's on the Somerville / Cambridge border comes pretty close to recreating the Tim's experience.... More

I ate a smoked Gouda cheese burger, it was delicious. Killer fries and a wide selection of draft beers. Unless you like Karaoke, call to make sure it isn't happening when you are eating. The food is outstanding.

My wife and I are on a "Boston burger quest" and this spot did not disappoint. It is a small unpretentious neighborhood place with an OK beer selection and tight tables. The menu has many burger options and we each chose one. The burgers were both cooked exactly to order and the onion rings were especially good. Definitely one of... More

Word of mouth told us that R.F. O'Sullivan's has the best burgers in Boston, and we are not disappointed. Absolutely the best hamburgers we've had in years in any city. Not only a wide variety of interesting types (e.g., blue cheese buried inside the burger), but also done to perfection, with a crispy outside and tender but not bloody inside.... More

The burgers were delicious! There was a huge variety of burgers prepared in different ways to choose from and I can't wait to go back and try a new one. Cozy atmosphere and open kitchen allows you to watch the burgers being cooked (depending on where you sit). Very reasonably priced a great casual place for beers and burgers.

The burger takes a while to cook so put your order in early. Nice atmosphere with TV's and such, not a great beer selection but a good place to drink a beer. The fries and massive, you get about 5 but they are plenty. Amazing onion rings too, you can order your burgers with half fries and half rings. Any... More

Nice neighborhood pub/restaurant. GREAT burgers! HUGE....takes 20 minutes to cook. Mine a Blu Burger...hers burger with Swiss. Nice selection of craft beers on tap. Martin, the bartender is a great server with Irish humor and wit! I'm not a fan of steak fries, but of the ones I've had they do theirs well. Onion rings are not home made, but... More

O'Sullivan's is the best of the "gourmet-type" burger places in the Boston area, in my opinion, hands-down. Not pretentious, or overly crowded and obnoxious like that place in Harvard Square. Try the onion rings -- they're probably the best I've ever had anywhere. And the enormous steak fries are nothing to shake a stick at either. Prepare to wait for... More

Small, loud neighborhood barroom packed with tables surrounding bar located in the middle of the room. At 7:30 on a Friday night in January, this place was packed - and noisy - so not the spot for a quiet romantic evening. Large screen tv's abound. There was a wait, but It didn't take long before we were seated. We went... More
