Great live concerts

Great music and drinks. It is close to the Davis Square T station and to the Massachusetts Avenue. There are four environment, outside, the bar which has some tables, the hallway with more tables and another bar in the back with the main stage for the live concerts. Might be hard to get drinks on... read more

Here's the place. Straight to the essence of what a bar should be. Nothing more, nothing less. Especially : No pretentiousness, no staff bragging about their extensive knowledge of beers, liquor and cocktails.

We had a reservation for a group of 28 made a month in advance, When we arrived the was a table reserved for 8 and a buffet with 3 serving dishes of food. The food was terrible and the bartender was just nasty.

We went to this place specifically to see an love Irish session. They were late starting which is Fine.... But I was disappointed with the quality of the session. All in all it was ok. The Guinness was stellar and the session musicians did kinda come around .... Kudos to the pub for even having a session in the first... More

Wonderful service from the bar men. The live music was excellent and as the night progressed a lot of people started dancing along which was good fun. Drinks were average priced and good quality. We didn't eat here but the food is supposedly excellent.

I loooove Irish Pubs and this place definitely has an authentic atmosphere. Went for dinner and drinks last night. The Magner's & Guinness was great. The Fish 'n chips were so-so, probably wouldn't order them again. It was nice for dinner. However, once it gets crowded & the live music comes on it turns into a madhouse. The bartenders are... This is always good. Great foods on an interesting menu. Basic bar food but up a few notches. The service is always good and sitting outdoors in the nice weather is sweet. Good brews. Good soups. Good stuff!

The Burren is an authentic feeling Irish pub in the heart of Davis Square with great decor and live music every day. Having been several times for drinks, my husband and I recently stayed on for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. "Pub grub" isn't typically my first choice cuisine but the Burren doesn't serve... More

We sat outside at a very wobbly table, that we propped up with a menu under the leg. I ordered a BLT. DRY as the Sahara desert. No mayo, just dry toast with a pile of bacon and a tomato and lettuce, Really? Inside was SO noisy............. they need noise reduction panels or something. No going back. Sorry.............
