I loooove Irish Pubs and this place definitely has an authentic atmosphere. Went for dinner and drinks last night. The Magner's & Guinness was great. The Fish 'n chips were so-so, probably wouldn't order them again. It was nice for dinner. However, once it gets crowded & the live music comes on it turns into a madhouse. The bartenders are... This is always good. Great foods on an interesting menu. Basic bar food but up a few notches. The service is always good and sitting outdoors in the nice weather is sweet. Good brews. Good soups. Good stuff!

The Burren is an authentic feeling Irish pub in the heart of Davis Square with great decor and live music every day. Having been several times for drinks, my husband and I recently stayed on for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. "Pub grub" isn't typically my first choice cuisine but the Burren doesn't serve... More

This is the cutest place in Somerville - they have hanging plants hanging both out front & inside Looks just like the little restaurants & pubs in Ireland - brought back pleasant memories of my recent trip to Ireland Went for Sunday lunch - they also have a brunch menu - I had the Shepards pie It was very good... We sat outside at a very wobbly table, that we propped up with a menu under the leg. I ordered a BLT. DRY as the Sahara desert. No mayo, just dry toast with a pile of bacon and a tomato and lettuce, Really? Inside was SO noisy............. they need noise reduction panels or something. No going back. Sorry.............

One of my guilty pleasures in the early 2000's was watching "Next Stop Wonderland." The heroine went on a series of horrible first dates at The Burren, so I was of course eager to try it. The first couple of times I went in, it was hard to get the server's attention, so I left, which isn't the greatest. I've... More

This is a fun little place in Davis Square. It has limited outdoor seating which we took advantage of. The food was typical pub fare, but the experience was enhanced by the live music emanating from inside. It's a cute place to stop for a beer and sandwich if you're in the area.

My husband loved the hot wings, but my pesto seafood pasta plate was bland. We both ended up eating his dinner. Very convenient location to Davis Square in Somerville and close to subway stop. Live music nightly, this is a fun and charming Irish pub.

Great bar! Host a 5k fun for runners/joggers/walkers of all ages with Guinness beef stew afterwards for all par takers. See you every Monday, I've been going there since 2007. As for the bar it self, friendly staff and great irish music and cover bands too. Only bar in Davis where you can have a conversation and not half to... More

The live music is great and there’s always live music going on. The food is cheap, really cheap. It’s bar food but the the burgers are good. I thought they’d have a better beer selection, but its really pretty standard mainstream selection. I was stoked to find live Bluegrass, will definitely stop back.
