Fine Irish Pub and Music

A Guiness, Burger and soup with great music with friends. We went on a Thursday night and pretty much had the place to ourselves, so had great seats and service. Perhaps when packed with a weekend crowd and a more popular band, thing might get jammed, but we were well treated and fed.

This is a fun, lively spot for a drink. We sat in the front room and listened to some great bluegrass music. The staff was very friendly, busy, but efficient. On the atmosphere, the music and the staff, I'd rate this place a 5 out of 5. But the food was average. We had some appetizers and a salad. Oh,... More

Good drinks, music for dancing or listening. Pretty noisy, but the bands are top notch. Food was great. typical bar food. Great variety of drinks and music

I have been there many times and the food and drinks are good! Upstairs is relaxed and friendly! The bartenders upstairs are decent. The ones from downstairs are rude and inefficient during live music concerts. I tis very sad that teh management is not interested in improving service, I guess they do not need because it is always full of... More

I have eaten at the Burren before & the food was always so-so, nothing really special. I went over this past weekend with my parents & all 3 of our meals were DELICIOUS. Not sure if they changed the menu since last time, or there is a new chef, but the food was amazing! I got the spicy black bean... More

I visited the Burren following the recommendation from a family's friend and it was surely one of the best meals I had in the Boston area. I ordered the Shepherd Pie and that was for sure one of the best Shepherd Pies I have ever had! We also had the opportunity to listen to some of the members of the... More

Since we were staying around the corner at a B&B, we took the opportunity to visit several of the nearby Davis Square restaurants. This Irish pub stands out for the authentic ambiance, beer selection and especially its beef stew. This was no small portion - the soup plate brimmed with well-seasoned classic stew. The price was a modest $11 per... More

The food was good, however we had to wait consistently for our waitress to come back and accommodate us. We were never given any water, and we had to ask for our bill because she never came back. We would not return There are a lot of restaurants in that area with better service.

Here's the place. Straight to the essence of what a bar should be. Nothing more, nothing less. Especially : No pretentiousness, no staff bragging about their extensive knowledge of beers, liquor and cocktails.
