Come hungry leave happy and full!

Our group of four stopped in to grab a bite to eat. We ended up with a table of food! We got one of the combo meals for our four top. What a great way to sample a bit of everything. Our waitress was really great and the drinks were yummy. We rolled out of there very happy and will... read more

Redbones has gone way down hill. So sad. We've given it 2 more chances than we should have, remembering how wonderful it used to be. Tonight, our 2 dinners were virtually tasteless. Salmon was awful, garlic mashed potatoes had no garlic and no taste, steak tips grisly and inedible. With this food, not that you'd want more but the portions... More

OK, so this isn't the most healthful food in the world! But it's some of the best BBQ I've ever had. My friend and I ordered two different meals, and were thus able to share and try the baby back ribs, Texas ribs, St. Louis ribs, steamed broccoli, baked beans, dirty rice, and pinto beans (well, they gave us the... I was recommended to eat here by a long time friend. he said it looks a little seedy and rundown but hey, all the best barbecue joints are. My wife and I had the lunchtime combo each which is essentially the previous nights left overs reheated with more sauce accompanied by beans and coleslaw. The plate is piled high and... More

Several people with whom we wished to meet in the Boston area suggested Redbones when they learned we were staying in Somerville. On our one visit we were seated quite quickly. Noise level: moderate-to-high. Nothing to criticize -- it's a very competent establishment, serves good BBQ, has a very good beer list. It is not a go-to place, however. Maybe... More

Redbones is legendary in Somerville. It precedes all the gentrification of the last decade. That said, Redbones does not the have the spark it once had. The food is only fine and the service is uninterested. There's a great beer selection, however.

Redbones is located in Davis Sq. which is one of the coolest neighborhoods in the Boston/Cambridge/Somerville area. I really like the BBQ at Redbones. I've had BBQ cooked by a chef on an outdoor grill in Austin,TX as well as BBG from the famous places in Memphis and Kansas City. I believe Redbones is up to par with them all.... More

We just had a terrible dinner at Red Bones. It started with in-edible corn bread - sweet, full of butter. But it was complementary, so we were not upset about it. The french fries and onion rings were too soggy and full of oil. The grilled salmon had a smoky taste. The steamed brokoli was too hard. The mac and... More

A fun place to go. Great selection of beers. Sometimes I find the bbq a bit dry, but most people rave about it.
