This is kind of a neighborhood gem. Old building, decent food. Always good for people watching. Nothing spectacular. Just a good place for a drink and a bite. More

My friends and I go to Redbones quite a bit, at least once a month--for both food and for drinks. We almost always hang out downstairs in "Underbones" where we dine on fried pickles, pulled chicken sandwiches and great beer. Their house margaritas are also delish! More

in my opinion the best barbecue in the country can be had at Arther Bryants in Kansas City. If you live in Massachusetts, however, the best choice you have is Redbones in Somerville. T stop is Davis on the redline outbound toward Alewife - 20 minute ride from Boston. Restaurant is two blocks from the station. Fisrt, to be straight... More

I gave this place a very good rating, only because I've lived in Memphis TN and Mississippi and the barbeque there is phenomenal. If you're in the Boston area and want good food, drink, and atmosphere, then check out this place, you will not be disappointed ! It's located in a nice area just outside Boston, but on the subway line.... More

Every kind of BBQ you can imagine, and more. And for those who don't eat ribs, you can still have fish or chicken with your choice of their hot or spicy sauces. More

A friend who had moved from Texas to New England regaled me for years about the superiority of Lone Star rib joints -- until he discovered Redbones. The night he hauled me over there, after each of us had devoured a massive combo platter, he fessed up that Redbones could match anything back home. I've been a regular since. Don't... More

The place is simple, but the meat is excellent. The protion are huge and the service is good. The beer selection is excellent but their price is high. It is very loud for dinner, but it is ok for lunch. If you like meat, you should check this one out. More

Please bear in mind this is based on ONE meal, so our experience, the day after Christmas, may not have been typical. I ordered the pulled pork plate, my companion two appetizers. The pork was pulled, all right, but it was quite dry (possible due to the cut ofm eat used, or perhaps from being held under a heat lamp... More

My husband and I took my parents to eat at Redbones because it's one of our favorite spots for good craft beers and tasty BBQ (hard to find in MA!). The upstairs restaurant and bar areas are typical, but the downstairs is decorated with bright colors and more of a party atmosphere. We like the downstairs and encourage you to... More
