Excellent food, freshly squeezed OJ, fast service

This is the proverbial hole-in-the-wall with exceptional food and service. There isn't much parking available, but enough so that you can usually get a spot if you go early, especially on weekends. The Neighborhood Restaurant is known for their Cream of Wheat, otherwise known as Cream of Crack! Our office loves it and will order it for pick up on a cold and rainy day when you need some warm love! If you visit the restaurant, you can pick out what you would like to eat and along with your meal comes... More

We ate here for breakfast one morning while we were on vacation and were seated outside under their beautiful grape vine canopy. The breakfast was like you would prepare at home on a Sunday morning – eggs, homefries, sausage or bacon, coffee and breads, but…the most delicious and memorable food they served was the bowl of Cream of Wheat –... It's a small place but I get why the waiting list was so long. They don't have a hostess, only a clipboard with names written on it. I'm not sure how that worked because I left to get mimosas at a nearby bar/restaurant and came back later when the crowd died down for what was THE most delicious waffles AND... More

Don't expect anything fancy here but what you get is good home cooking. The place is small but the clientele are loyal. A good cup of coffee, great omelettes, and the best cream of wheat ever tasted. The homefry potatoes are a bit greasy however. You can pass those up easily.

We've waited in LONG lines to have breakfast here, but it's always worth it! My boyfriend says the corned beef hash is the best he's ever had, and I love the pumpkin cinnamon pancakes.

It's been said over and over and it's true...The Neighborhood knows how to do breakfast! We love it...we're never disappointed...Sometimes we get there at 8:00 and get seated right away with all the young families...and sometimes we get there later in the morning and wait on the sidewalk with all the young adults...It's always pleasant and the food is delicious...from... Here in the center of Somerville, sits a local favorite! Everything about it is great and, given that the high season for breakfast is between May and into October, those who know it, come early and prepared. There is an indoor restaurant that is used when inclement weather threatens and, in the fall and winter. However, beginning in May, the... More

Split a breakfast. I promise, you'll still leave food on the table! Huge portions of food better than your mom ever made. Every bite was great!
