Unreal

Total down-home experience. This is the kind of place that doesn't take reservations, and always has a line spilling out the door. Nothing fancy, but they start you off with extras and the food is warm and delicious. Great for post-hangover or general breakfast lovers.

Some months ago, I was in Boston and a friend of mine took me to this restaurant, I remembered that I was a little bit busy but I waited. The girl who assists us was really friendly and gave me really good suggestions about what to order, then I decided to order grits, omg! was the best ever, and my... More

Ate breakfast at the restaurant and it was great! Service was good, fast, and all the staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast options are many and way more than I could eat! Very tasty and I need to return for the lunch menu. Seating was on the patio under the grape vines with clumps of Concord grapes hanging down.

Heard a few good things about this place so the girlfriend and I decided to go and see what all the fuss was about. On arrival it was pretty busy but we got seated immediately, we sat outside under a shelter of vines that cover a ceiling of lattice, it was nice as it kept us in the shade. They... More

This place tends to get very busy on the weekends. It is normal to wait up to 30 minutes for a table. You just write your name down on the notepad outside and they call off names. The outdoor patio is really nice and the waitresses have always been friendly. I've found its a bit hard to track the waitresses... More

The Neighborhood Restaurant is cozy in the winter indoors, but it is particularly pleasant to sit outside during the summer months under the grapevines and eat casually and leisurely. My husband and I have got into the habit of taking our 2 1/2 year old grandson there weekly and he has enjoyed becoming a regular patron and a part of... More

I went here on a Saturday morning before heading to the farmers market in union square. They offer a typical breakfast menu, but what I liked most that it was simple and they make no attempt at modernizing breakfast. I was not too hungry so they let me order from the kids menu, which I highly appreciate since I hate... More

The Neighborhoud Restaurant is a very popular place to eat in the neighborhood of Somerville. You can sit outside at the terrace, which is very nice. The general atomosphere is relaxed and cheerful. The service is also very friendly. However, the food was disappointing: the pancakes were too dry, the coffee without much taste, the juice not fresh. The omelette... More

We've been coming for breakfast and brunch since longer ago than I can count, probably 20 years at this point. Outdoor seating is an institution. Worth the wait, bother in outdoor season and indoor season (it's one or the other, once the patio is open all service is out there and the inside tables are closed). But if you hate... More

This restaurant is a wonderful spot in Somerville for a weekend brunch. Great eggs/omelettes/etc. The only downside is the very long waits that can snake outside the door, especially on weekend mornings. Worth it, though!
