Just returned from a weekend in Boston. After reading thru countless restaurant reviews, we decided to make the trek out to Cambridge to EVOO. It was the end of restaurant week. I ordered off the menu, while my fiancee chose a la carte. I had the asparagus and duck proscuitto, which was interesting. The main dish were scallops (very nicely... more
I went to EVOO this past weekend with a friend and ordered off of their $35 menu (which they also can do with wine for $50). The food was really great, both the appetizer and my entree were cooked very well, and were quite light so I didn't feel very stuffed afterwards. The desserts were REALLY somethign special. Despite ordering... more
Great food, but not a real comfortable feeling. more
If the wait at nearby Dali is too long, consider coming here for a quieter atmosphere and a change of culinary pace. Gordon Ramsey would be proud: the culinary team prepares local, fresh, often organic food without over-preparing or over-seasoning it. Additionally, the fixed menu items can be chosen from for a 3 course, including an appetizer, entree and dessert for only $35. This is a great deal... more
I wasn't blown away here. The service was really slow and the food wasn't as exception as I had hoped. I will say that my mussel appetizer was really good, but the lamb I had for dinner wasn't too special. more
It's too bad the facade of this place is very indistinct and over-shadowed by Dali and The Kebab Factory, so few people seem to know how great this place is. It is neither very romantic or happening, but it's great for a small group celebration or for catching up with an old friend while tasting some good upscale food. The... more
Locally-sourced ingredients for freshness that burst with flavor from the dishes. Tip: They have a prix-fixe all the time so you can get a good deal outside of Restaurant Week too. more
