Everything was wonderful

Stating with their home-made pasta, everything I tasted was just great. We had tortellini with Jonas Crab in a sweet pea sauce, Vegetable Lasagne, and Beet salad. All originally presented and all very good. Portions were not too big, but pasta is filling. They have bread sticks, not bread, so... read more

I grew up next to the ocean and have a serious aversion to stale fish. The wood fire cooked fish was delicious. Succulent and delicately, but masterfully seasoned. It came with 4 large grilled shrimp, braised artichoke heart, and a delightful corn "grits" for a lack of knowing the actual term. Smooth and with the purity of taste one gets... More

This was my first visit and I thought it was excellent. Casual, slightly upscale atmosphere, Very open, high ceilings, open kitchen, bar and restaurant all one space, except for a semi-private room near the back. Nice bar, and some of the tables are next to windows/doors that open to the street (like many places in Davis Sq.). We sat at... More

1st visit to POSTO and we'll be back as the food and service was very good. POSTO is much more than pizzeria, this is a full service restaurant. The waitress (Holly) was very helpful with both the wine and food menus. We began with arancini which were lemon infused - absolutely delicious. For dinner we split the braised ribs and... More

The food is great, Athmophere is pleasant, the service friendly. But the portions are way too small for the price.

A great restaurant for a really good meal and a good bottle of wine almost reasonably priced. The 2011 Feuduccio was very good and my choice was between that and the Mendoza selection, our server knew the list well and recommended the Montepulciano . We had the Bruschetta which was really good but overpriced at $15 for four toasts, tomatoes... More

We went to Posto thinking we would order the brick oven Neapolitan style pizza, but when we looked at the menu offerings we quickly changed our minds! First, our waitress was really knowledgeable about the wine offerings. We ordered a bottle of white wine, which our waitress described as coming from the coast of Italy where the heel of the... It is often hard to get into Posto... reservations go quickly and if they are open for lunch, we've always hit it on the wrong day. Five of us finally made it this week with an early (5:45) reservation. There were lots of yummy menu options other than pizza and pasta (tho my friends who ordered those liked them too).... More

Loved the ambience, the wine options by the glass, the calamari was cooked perfectly. Based on the TA reviews, we tried it and I'm pleased we did. If we lived there we'd go back often.

Everytime I eat at Il Posto, no matter what I order, the food and service are great. I especially recommend the gnocchi.
