The food here is good…not outstanding but certainly above average. They have a wonderful polenta. It is noisy at night and generally crowded.
We planned a sit down dinner for 30 people on a Sunday late afternoon at the Foundry's Saloon room. Our experience was absolutely stellar, most especially the attentive service and the fantastic food - some of the best food many of our well-traveled guests had ever had. Compliments are still pouring in. Kudos are especially deserved for our hostess Jodie... More
We had reservations for 6 before a show so on the early side. Relatively empty but absolutely packed within a half hour so would suggest reservations. Extensive craft beer selection, nice wine list and some handcrafted cocktails. We opted for burgers, which were excellent and the fries even better. One in the party was overcooked and just mentioned to the... More
We visited this place on a Saturday night, and it was pretty full when we arrived (20:30). We were however seated immediately and served promptly. Will definitely return.
I want to love this place, I really do. It was exciting when it first opened - there wasn't really an option like that right in the heart of Davis Square. The menu is varied and there is something for everyone - burgers, fish, oysters, pasta - but the last few times I have been there the food and the... More
Every time I eat dinner at Foundry I'm impressed at just how delicious it is. I haven't had a bad meal here. The food has been always good. I love the Salmon and I always start with the devils on horseback. So good!
A while back I went here for lunch, ordered a medium rare hamburger with lettuce, tomato, mayo on the side, Caesar salad and a coke. Order came with french fries. Hamburger was well done, not what I wanted but I didn't complain. Place was quiet for lunch, few people. I recall paying about 28 dollars including tip for what I... More
Excellent, if pricey, cheeseburger. Great fries. Friendly staff welcomed us back in from cold to use facilities.
Went to lunch with a colleague. It claims to have refined food, but I was disapppointed at the menu selections. Nothing stands out and is short on seafood items. The soup du jour was good -curry pumpkin, tasty and creamy. However, the veggie burger I ordered was disappointing. The pattie fell apart and the french fries were average. The price... More
Charming pub/restaurant, a little reminiscent of an irish pub or northern france brasserie, very busy (I went there saturday evening as soon as I could). It is close to an universitary area as I saw only young people, who represent 95% of the customers. Excellent choice of real ales, porposed at middle prices. Decent selection of wines, I didn't see... More
