This small restaurant located in a strip mall serves excellent South Indian vegetarian fare. We have eaten the lunch specials here a number of times. You can't go wrong with the freshly made masala dosa, In addition to the dosa, the lunch special includes your choice of idily (a steamed rice cake) or a vada (a fried rice/gram "dumpling)." If... Been to Udupi a couple of times recently. Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Plan to celebrate my birthday there next week with a group of friends.

Food here is perfect south indian sambar and utthappam you get in south indian restaurants in India. Its delicious. Start with apetizer and just keep on eating until your stomach explodes! It serves only veg meal but non-veg lovers must give it a try at least once! And its not very costly so light for your pocket

South Indian meal. Vegetarian Meal. Average Service, but authentic and cheap. We are a regular Sunday evening visitors. My daughter love the quietness and the piece there.

We have been a regular customer to this place as we love vegetarian South Indian food. Even though the service is very slow, we never bothered about that. But during my recent visit, unfortunately on my birthday,we were completely irritated by the service and decided to never go back again. It took ages for us to get our order. The... More

Udupi was the first south indian restaurant in the Boston area. It used to be in Ashland. It then moved to the center of Ashland (the old train station) and now has moved to Shrewsbury (about 5 years ago). I've tended to have the thali whenever I go to Udupi. The pesarat upma is another good choice. Note that Udupi... More

I visit Worcester once a year and strive to try an Indian restaurant. This time I took a confirmed meat-eater and an vegan. They both loved it. We found the service quite excellent with fast service and very friendly wait staff. The prices are very reasonable and we carried food home. There were several small children there and they were very... More

Though not the best, it is fair to declare Udupi as a pure vegetarian kitchen. You will be satisfied with the authentic dishes that are moderately spiced and at request would turn up a notch or two. The friendly staff, the cleanliness and the variety is enough to tickle your palate. My favorites are the Rava Dosa, Chana Batura, or... More

One of the few Indian Restaurants that is "STILL STANDING" in the Shrewsbury Area. (Needless to say, due to good food). We go there occasionally for a late dinner. Everything is as you can expect in a typical Indian restaurant. There is nothing I can say will stand up than the others, but I was never disappointed with any item... More

We have been to Udupi several times over the last 13 yrs, probably averaging once in 2 weeks. They were initially located at the train station in Framingham and have a presence in MA for the last 15-20 years. They presently have only a la carte but the portions are huge and meals are sumptous. Another unique aspect of this... More
