Pleasantly Suprised

On a whim, my wife and I stopped in after a day of traveling... We had a great waiter and home style food. We will return if we are in the area again next year!!

Service wAs mediocre but friendly, food pretty good homestyle diner. Had the meatloaf which was good but had much better. My girlfriend had the turkey dinner which was really good and moist. Great portions and cooked well. Charming small town atmosphere

This restaurant truly lives up to its name of "village." It is a "home-town" type place with a family, comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Food prices are moderate so it is comfortable on your pocketbook as well. My favorite dish is the eggplant parmesan!

Came here on a Sunday with 6 people. Upon entering they seated us right away but informed us that they only had 1 cook. The place was full but you could see the tension from this problem. After a 45 minute wait of the six of us sitting there 2 got their meals. 1 a chicken sandwich and fries which... More

Our dinner here was actually better than those we had at some more upscale places in town (no names)--only wish we'd found it earlier. I'd especially recommend the turkey dinner with the homemade sage stuffing. Burgers were also good, and the service was the best we had during our 10 days in town this visit. About a third of the... The service was slow, but the food was good. Prices will not break the bank. Seating is limited. Staff was friendly.

Three of us visited Sept 2014 and had a very warm welcome. The new owners know how to treat customers. The food was wonderful and the portions large. Two of us had the reuben sandwich one had the haddock fish sandwich. We enjoyed the food and great service. We will be eating there when we visit Shelburne Falls in the... More

Had the creamy roasted vegitable soup and the clam chowder with a piece of warm apple pie on a cool fall day. All were delicious. Worth a stop for sure.

Visited Shelburne Falls, MA on Memorial Day to see the Bridge of Flowers. A perfect New England day. Lots of visitors, but sadly only one restaurant was open ! Fortunately for us, we were a party of 2 and were quickly seated and orders were placed. A haddock sandwich and a burger, both came with lettuce and tomatoes and shoestring... More
