Food is fresh, but fried, but hey, that's what a New England fish fry place is supposed to deliver. Service excellent. Room is noisy when crowded. Agree that bar crowd is "different" ...folks remind me of the bar scene from Star Wars.

If your looking for excellent food in mountainous quantities this is the place. Typically a tavern setup with bench seating & dark coloured tonings but with that classic busy hussle bustle atmosphere. Excellent value for money with a broad variety on the menu and similarly on the refreshments list. Grand service made this a very pleasant dining experience.

This was the first place we had dinner at during our vacation. This tavern has the BEST NE clam chowder!! My husband had the lobster roll and he loved it. Prices were average. Definitely recommend

This place is the packaged food king in town, nothing is homemade. The folks who like the fried fish and fried food scene go here. Its not a place I would recommend to anyone. Weird crowd hangs out at the bar. Can get busy, as its good for kids, as they have lots of options kids like, or people who... More

When you have one of those nights where you want to go out and can't figure out where to go, the Satuit Tavern gets the nod from me. This is a good, local restaurant with fresh fish and generous portions. During prime time, the place gets packed so arrive early. They also do a booming to-go business. In addition to... More

This is a good reliable spot with standard New England fare. There is sometimes a wait but the staff are friendly and efficient and there is enough space for waiting. The cocktails are very well-made, which you sometimes can't say about a much more high-end place, so I appreciate being able to go in with the kids on the spur... More

A fun place that consistently puts out a good meal. The seafood dishes are their specialty, but don't ignore the mixed grill or the pizza's.

One of our favorites for fresh fish, clams, scallops, oysters. Close to town pier and commercial fishing boats. Great fish chowder, fried clams and oysters. Pizzas also good. Can be noisy, since bar popular with locals as well as tourists.

This restaurant has a great menu of local, New England favorites. The New England Clam chowder is thick and sticks to the ribs, with plenty of clams and potatoes. I ordered a small Greek salad side which was fresh and topped with a blizzard of feta cheese and pitted kalamata olives. The atmosphere was pleasant, with curious photographs of sailboats,... More
