The food is really good - the atmosphere is special - and the service is excellent. For a number of years this is the place we have gone to to celebrate a birthday - they just don't disappoint. Excellent wine list - reasonable prices. more

I attended a wedding reception at the Barker Tavern a few years ago. The food was only ok for me, unless you were a serious carnivore -- the prime rib was truly raw and virtually covered the entire dinner plate with two baby potatos and a lonely carrot stick on the side. Quite posiblly the fanciest resturaunt in Massachusetts, Barker's is an eatery with incredible food and an upper-class atmosphere. The prices are expensive, however- but good food like this is well worth the price. more
