We have been going to PJ's with 2 other couples for New Years since 1988!! To say it has become our tradition seems to be an understatement since it's been 26 years. Now, one would think that within that time frame we would have been served at lease ONE "not so good" dinner, but this is not the case here.... More

I have been coming to PJ's Country House for over 30 years, and although I enjoy the comfy atmosphere of wood paneling and tablecloths, many of the furnishing and wall hangings have not changed at all. Upholstered chairs by the fireplace look nice, but are no longer comfortable, sitting way too low for the table. The menu contains many options... More

My husband and I took my Mom out to dinner last week. There weren't many customers, but we found that we had to wait for our waitress to acknowledge us. Once she made contact, she was pretty much available. The food was average; tasty but average. This was a very different experience from my last visit to PJs and I... More

A nice restaurant in an old building. Food was good but being in MA you would think lobster would be more fairly priced.

PJs will probably not wow you or disappoint you, but in this day and age, if I am going out to a restaurant, I expect a bit more.

PJ's has been around for quite a while, & it's good today as it ever has been, which is fine. The atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable. The prices are really reasonable. The food is very good, and the staff is friendly. The piano bar is a good place for drinks or dinner, especially for the more mature crowd. But, younger... More

When the piano player is at the Bar and you get an order of French Onion soup and some local seafood, you have made a good choice There is a nostalic warm feeling of new england resteraunts gone by. Miss the Lobster Savanah and WeinerSchnitzel from the old menu, but you have to give them credit for updating their menu,... More

This place gets three stars because of the atmosphere which is very rustic. Its a throwback... dark, cozy, and comfortable. Unfortunately, that's the bet part. The food is bland and of poor quality. I was there on a Friday with two others and we ordered french onion soup, cesar salad, lobster bisque, scallops, haddock, and smoked fish. The french on... More

The food was very good as was the service. The menu provides quite a few options. There should be something for everyone. I enjoyed the Veal Oscar. Very friendly staff and they seem to know most of the customers. I would guess many have been coming here for years (in some cases decades). At PJ's you don't need someone to... More
