Whenever we're in Sandwich, we either stay at the Belfry or the Dan'l Webster Inn. This time, we went to the Belfry bar for a drink and an app and it's such a beautiful place and our bartender was the perfect mix of friendly and giving your patrons enough space.

Last night I had the first of what I hope will be many incredible meals at the Belfry Bistro. The restaurant is set in a stunning converted church complete with stained glass windows, beautifully restored woodwork, and a cozy wood-burning fireplace. The food was first class, the service efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. It was a... More

Last night I met three friends at the Belfry Bistro for dinner. Two of my friends From Plymouth have dined there before and highly recommended it. My friend and I from the mid-Cape joined them. After last night's experience, I have already sent an email blast to friends and family with the highest recommendation for a dining experience. My salmon... More

An amazing evening out on Wednesday sampling 4 different wines paired with unique gourmet food samplings. Each course was prefaced with an illuminating talk by the house wine expert.

The historic town has turned a church into an Inn and restaurant reclaiming most of the wood from the church. The bar is made from the pews and the confessional is the wine cabinet. Best of all there is a wood burning fireplace making this one of the coziest venues on Cape Cod.

Everything about the Belfry is outstanding. The setting in a converted church is unique. The interior has been preserved to a great degree with a vast, open feeling, gorgeous stained glass and magnificent carved wood accents. The piano player plays quietly, and his reppertoire is easy listening favorites. Just perfect to set the mood without raising the noise level. The... More

The prices are ridiculously high. Went there for drinks and possibly dinner. Read the menu and saw upwards of $30 for basic entrees and decided to go to the Dan' Webster Inn for apps, and to the Pilot House for dinner instead. Too she-she, pretentious, and stuffy for my taste...and I am a personal chef and a food snob!
