We have been going to the Dunbar Tea Room for the past 14 years. When possible, we like to go at least once per month and make it an essential part of day trips and longer stays on Cape Cod. I have recently had to move for work and now drive 5 hours to go to the Dunbar to enjoy... more

I was at the Dunbar Tea Room two times in October of 2008 -- once for lunch (with a full room), and once for dessert (when I was alone). I received great service from the staff, thoroughly enjoyed my food, and loved the atmosphere. The next time I'm on Cape Cod and in Sandwich, it will be my first stop! more

Because we are originally from Europe and sometimes crave some old world hospitality, we decided to seek out this tea room. We arrived at precisely noon and were promptly taken to a window table. The atmosphere and ambiance are definitely old English and we loved it. The main room is truly beautiful. My wife ordered a chicken salad ($14) which... more

My God, I cannot believe these comments. I had same exact experience with these rude people, except for a sweet waitress in ~ 50's, she was nice. As far as other people in staff, they were unproffesional and rude. I just hoped this place had hospitality as it looked. more

My mom, who is in her late 60's, sweet-natured, and a loyal customer of the Dunbar Teahouse -- was treated so poorly by the owner when she complained about her lunch and 45 minute wait for service. The owner went into a rage and my mother left the shop in tears. Completely unacceptable. more

My sister and I were treated so poorly by the owner of this establishment. When I told her the cream for the tea was curdled, she said it wasn't. When I told her we waited 45 minutes to be served, she said no you didn't. She was an angry, hostile woman. I left the tea house in tears. No one... more

I recently tried to have tea at the Dunbar Tea Shop. I figured they deserved a second try.. WRONG... I was treated as though I was a bother, rather than a customer. Someone PLEASE give these people lessons in Customer Service and most importantly, etiquette. Don't bother going there and above all else, don't call them- they are as rude... more

On my first visit to the tea shop, I tried The Windsor Afternoon Tea and a pot of darjeeling tea. I thought it was a bit pricy until the food arrived...more than enough to share had we known and ordered accordingly. The finger sandwiches were fresh and tasty, the scone was very good, but the desserts could have been a... more

My family and I went to the tea room for lunch during the holidays. We were informed that a table for 6 would be available in 15 minutes so we waited...and waited...and waited. Over an hour later, we inquired about the status of our table. We were told that they could not make people leave and they could not predict... more
