I read all of the negative blogs before still deciding to make a reservation for lunch today at noon. I first went there with a friend last summer and the presentation of tea and food was so delicious we decided to visit again. We each chose the house Dunbar Tea and the Squire. We each had the Squire last time... More

My Cousin from London, wanted to stop at the Dunbar. We just wanted some tea, and some wine, and cheese and crackers. The staff was wonderful and made up a special plate for us. Very relaxing. We stopped in on a rainy day.

We had our volunteer Christmas luncheon here and it was just delightful. They served a great lunch and an incredible pot of tea. The volunteers enjoyed the event tremendously and will be back on their own. Several commented that it was like being at a private home with a fire and great conversation.

I've been going here for years. The owners and staff are warm and welcoming. Some days they do seem a bit understaffed so service can be slow. One the upside I've never felt rushed and it's wonderful to sit and relax with friends. Try the scones, served with clotted cream and jam, you won't be disappointed.

We stopped here for cakes and tea one afternoon whilst were were staying in Sandwich for our honeymoon. Everything was really delicious and well made. Service was a bit slow, I think they may have been understaffed that day but the staff were very friendly and apologetic so you couldn't really ask for more. Would definitely reccomend a visit here!

So we haven't been to the tea room in a while, now I remember why. Foods not bad but pricey. limited choices and the staff has an air. I'll make my tea at home, thank you.

This was an unexpected pleasure. We had the British tea 'lunch' and we were NOT disappointed. The only reason why I didn't give this 5 stars is because it was obvious they were understaffed. The waitress kept apologizing for how long it took to get our meal but considering the size of the restaurant it was obvious they didn't have... More

Having lunch in Sandwich can be a special treat, Dunbar hits the spot. Good food, nice atmosphere, seems to be the place for local ladies luncheons.

We enjoyed a delightful lunch with a great view across to the lake. The service was professional and not hurried.

Nice tea room and scones were lovely, but need to have a better cream for their scones. A cream tea should actually have clotted cream, but the cream I received was probably spray cream out of a can and some sort of an essence added as it didnt taste nice. Also many cobwebs. They need to ensure all surfaces are... More
