This is a great year round spot. A wonderful variety of well prepared fresh menu items prepared by people who obviously care about getting it right. The regular menu is bolstered by nightly(?) 3 course specials that are an unbeatable value. If you’re in the area and you’d like to have a memorable meal in a cozy local restaurant that... More

After thirty years away we returned to this restaurant. The decor both inside and out was cozy but comfortable. The four of us ordered a wide variety dishes from mussels to lobster. All dishes were very enjoyable. The fried clams were especially lite and tasty. The side dishes were cooked to perfection. Try the corn and onions they were outstanding.... More

While vacationing recently on Cape Cod, we were directed by a friendly "local" to try Capt. Scott's for dinner. Everything was above expectations. They offer a very reasonably priced selection of dinner specials. My husband had the swordfish tips which was great. The special included salad, desert, everything. I chose a scallop selection served over spinach from the regular menu... More

The appearance of the restaurant makes you think it's high class but that's all. The food is ordinary, the portions small and the prices high. We had different dishes but neither of us was satisfied. I wanted fish and chip like you usually find near the coast but it was not special. In fact it was rather disappointing. The service... More

Stopped here because we wanted a good seafood place to celebrate our son's bday. After having to ask to order, we received the most disgusting food pretending to be cuisine ever. I had the chicken Marsala - huge mistake. It was essentially tough, cheap chicken in a vinegary sauce for 16.00. The seafood platter was tasteless and poor quality. My... More

Even though we summer nearby, we were not aware of this small restaurant in Sandwich MA and happened upon it by accident a number of years ago. Even locally they do not seem to advertise much. But after discovering it, we always found it to be good food and an excellent value. However, two years ago, we thought it had... More

Snuggled in Sandwich, MA no paper plates, no just fried seafood. Casual Seafood in style. Comfortable seating -- with silverware and plates! Stopped for lunch and it was delightful; we ordered the lobster roll which can with a cup of lobster bisque as the special (on a chilly Memorial Day just the ticket); fish and chips(but choose rice) and Nantucket... No clams to speak of in clam chowder which was cold and had to be reheated. Clam roll had 6 clams in it and fries very greasy. Lobster roll acclaimed to be best of boston had too much much mayonnaise and mostly claw chunks. In no way the best lobster roll we have ever had. We think this is way... More

My husband Mike and I went to Captain Scotts restaurant yesterday and had an excellent dinner. We had an authentic Greek Salad, roasted little necks and pasta. The sauce was so delicious! We noticed that the restaurant went through a restoration and the atmosphere was eclectic - without the high prices!!!! I keep talking about it today I had to... More
