Wow, what a gem on the Cape this is. Worth making the stop just for the fabulous wine selection at amazing prices. Also, great coffee and goodies to go with it! Also, the owner makes a selection of sandwiches and wraps fresh every day. I had a really excellent jerked chicken wrap that was to die for! Not-to-miss cheese selection... More

Super cute little shop in the heart of Sandwich. The place came recommended to me from family that have spent a lot of time on the Cape, and it didn’t disappoint. Amazing cheese and wine selection as well as a huge array of food from all over the world. The owner was very knowledgeable about everything in his store -... More

After a long day out with my family we were driving around looking for a place to eat and rejuvenate ourselves. We came across The Brown Jug just by accident. It’s a diamond hidden in the rough. The food was elegant yet delicious and filling. I started a conversation with Michael whom I thought was a standard employee to tell... More

Really cute shop, great merchandise, but quite unfriendly. A small little shop, where noone greets you. More than half of the wine is not priced, so didnt think the attitude was necessary when a customer wants to know what the price is.

I'm not sure if not nice or just eccentric. The store is LOVELY, well stocked, GREAT wine, cheese and charcuterie finds - really wonderfully stocked, lovely. He bakes some MEAN scones - loved the ginger scone. Wonderful find. Just ignore the owner's... um, demeanor? Im sure he's a great guy, since there is so much love in the building and... More

This little store is a great place to be able to stop in and pick up a fabulous loaf of bread or chunk of cheese. The sandwiches are terrific and out of the ordinary, fresh interesting ingredients. The staff are always friendly and the hot coffee is always hot and delicious. The quality of the gourmet foods in this little... More

Very unique store. We picked up a bottle of cranberry red wine that was terrific. The bottle was shaped as a lighthouse. They have all different meat & cheeses.

We went there on a recommendation and were very pleased. Mike was very helpful and friendly. The place offers many things that are not available near us. We walked out of there happy we went. Depending on the person, I would say you would spend about 15-30 minutes.

This place sells all kinds of fine food, cheese, wine etc. The sandwiches are excellent and can also be taken out to the nice backyard. Some interesting wines to taste! Live music in the backyard!

For a small shop, has a great variety of wines that are reasonably priced with a knowledgeable and pleasant staff. Try the parmesan bread sticks that sit irresistibly on the check-out counter.
