This was always the last stop out of town, and now that I'm n the driver's seat, it's more than that.

My fiance & I spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon having really nice lunch at The Pilot House. Although the weather was misty, we strolled a bit along the Canal bike Path after our meal. Then serendipitously came upon this very cute and amazingly still open ice cream stand. Although most flavors were gone...I gather they're getting ready to close for... More

A local told us to try this ice cream rather than the more popular Ice Cream Sandwich. We did, and it was fantastic! Great selection of flavors and the quality was top notch!

We might have missed it if it had not been right across from where we were staying. It brings one back to your youthful Summer days of the ice cream stands and the lines of salivating kids! Oh yea, the ice cream was excelllent as well!

Never seem to be able to get to Twin Acres when we actually want ice cream (because they aren't open that late), so I picked up large cups of three flavors and we ate them back at our place after dinner. The triple chocolate was exceptional; the pistachio was excellent; and the chocolate chip was very good. Would definitely recommend.

After getting ripped off with $9 ice cream cones in places like Edgartown or Nantucket, Twin Acres is a refreshing treat. My cone was huge and value was right on. There is no scenic view, but the location is convenient.

Creamy chocolate chip ice cream, the frozen yogurts are delicious, no fresh blueberry sauce, often lines but they move quickly, sandwiches and hot dogs are available as well as lime rickeys

As others have mentioned, a small here is plenty big - a nice problem to have! But add to that the prices are more than reasonable and the flavor varieties are plentiful, this is a win-win-win. Absolutely delicious and a great way to end a drive down Route 6A.

The girls managing the orders were excellent! This place was packed on a Thursday night at 9 pm and they efficiently received and processed each order perfectly. How they remembered everything was impressive as the menu and how you can put together your sundae is endless. Do not be tempted to take a "Large" sized anything just because it is... More
