There always seems to be a crowd at the Agawam but the food is average. Diner atmosphere with booths, counter, and a few tables. Clean and fast service but don't expect anything special in the food department.

Have been going here for years. Place always full. Food is good and served by very courteous waitresses. When you are finished you can look at the large selection of deserts. I always say I am not getting anything but am enticed by some homemade delecy they have presented. Worth a visit. Prices are fair , food is good, hopping... More

I'm visiting friends, and for lunch they suggested this place -- a favorite of theirs for over thirty years. It is small, but worth the wait to get a table. The food? Fantastic. I had crab cakes-- much more crab than cake. Awesome at a great price. The fries were cooked perfectly -- a sure sign that they know how... More

Visiting from England and love your diners. Agawam has great character outside and inside, loved it. Called for breakfast, food and service good, had corned beef hash, eggs etc. Portions not as large as many but did enjoyed. Definitely hope to call next time visit.

We were traveling home from a vacation in Maine and decided to stop in at the Agawam Diner. My Mother had eaten here before but this was my first time. You can get Breakfast all day so my Mom had bacon and eggs and said they were very good. I was really hungry and had a hard time deciding between... More

We had breakfast with my family a couple of days ago and we enjoyed it so much. The waiter was so nice and don't understand why people say the opposite. A classic American diner on the oldest route of the USA, route 1. I think it worths waiting some minutes in line to taste a well done bacon omelette!

This place is a diner- you get diner food. We stopped for breakfast. I had Ray's hash. It was great- not the canned stuff you get in so many places. My husband had pancakes and ham with real maple syrup-again not the fake stuff. The service was great- fast and friendly, our waitress checked on us several times, asked where... More

Our family loves stopping at diners on car trips. We went out of our way to go to the Agawam Diner because, in the AAA Tourbook, it sounded like the perfect place for us. The write-up praised the meatloaf. Well, what's a diner without meatloaf?! Sadly, we found out. The diner looked fine from the outside and, although small on... More

If your looking for a quick in and out with good, basic food, this should satisfy you ( unless there's a line out the door). The tables do turn over very quickly. Plain, basic food with a nice cup of coffee is what you get here. I have been told their pies are pretty special and some people go there... More
