Basic Diner Food/ Good Eats

The Rowley diner is a flashback to the 50's & 60's. It offers very good basic diner food and the dinner specials are worth trying. Many of these dinners are a good value and suitable for solo, couples and family. There are many regulars here and often there is a short line to get a table. Take... read more

It's first come first served - or you can always sit at the counter - at the Agawam Diner in Rowley, Ma. Fortunately (or unfortunately for my waistline) the Agawam is right on the way to and from work - and isn't too far to drive to on weekends. The locals - from the teens to the senior folk -... More

Yes it's old school. Yes the waitresses are great and it is a real diner. But the food is terrible. Stick to the breakfast menu.

Hadn't been back here in a long time (5-7 years ago), and it hasn't changed...that's good news! Had lunch there with the family...wish I could remember the server's name--she was hilarious and has been there 30 years if I remember correctly. The sweet butter rolls we started with hit the spot. I had a burger topped with mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes... More

Located at US 1 and SR 133, Agawam is a great little place to grab an old school classic diner meal. We stopped in while enjoying a motorcycle ride and had a BLT and a fish sandwich. Both were freshly made and tasty. The best offerings at this diner are not main menu items, but the wide variety of freshly... More

The food was hot, the wait staff professional and the diner itself is very cool. Standard diner fare menu. Clam strips were very tasty, but rubbery - but they tend to be. Fries were frozen, deep fried variety. Coleslaw was plentiful and good and not the kind that is drowned in mayo. Husband said the hot hamburger sandwich was okay.... More

Great tasting little piece of history at the corner of Route 1 and 133 in Rowley, MA. Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner and even just a cup of coffee and a piece of delicious pie! Read up on the history of our diner...it was even featured in an Elvis Costello music video!...then stop in. You will not be disappointed!

Not High end by any means, always tons of locals who visit on a weekly basis. The specials are tremendous but don't expect fancy. Solid American food like pot roast, franks and beans and meat loaf among many other choices. My wife and I love this place not only for the food but the ambience of it. Locals and family's... More

Great home cooking, wonderful staff, and very cozy. Great prices too! Can't beat it, especially if you love comfort foods. They have it all!

There always seems to be a crowd at the Agawam but the food is average. Diner atmosphere with booths, counter, and a few tables. Clean and fast service but don't expect anything special in the food department.
