Visited Rockports Xmas Pageant in mid Dec. to find most restaurants closed for season. Shopkeeper recommended LoGrassos, where the locals dine. Close to the train station, easy to pass by, but wonderful & warm inside. Great Italian and seafood meals. Had the raviolis in a white cream sauce w/sausage & mushroom. Lots of excellent choices. A bit upscale than most... More

Because of trouble with a local innkeeper we had to cancel our dinner reservation at the last minute. I would like to say that the lady I spoke with on the phone was very friendly and courteous both when I made the reservation and when I cancelled. If we ever do go back to Rockport, Lo Grasso's will be first... More

Nice atmosphere. Don't let the strip mall setting put you off. Lovely once you are inside. It is BYOB. No liquor is served. A $2 per person corkage charge. The food, however, is very average. However, given that there are few restaurants in Rockport for a romantic meal in the winter, this is an acceptable choice. Just keep your expectations... More

What a meal! I was quite nervous when we drove up to a restaurant that, from the outside, looked like a tiny carry out deli in a tiny strip mall. But, were looks ever deception. The meal was absolutely amazing! The scallop appetizer was out-of-this world and the scallop entree and veal marsala were beyond perfection. I unsuccessfully tried to... More

This restaurant was suggested to us and we were a bit hesitant when we first saw it from the outside but then we stepped inside to a whole different world. It was cozy with soft lights and deep warm colors. The menu had many selections and we both had delicious dinners. You do need to bring your own wine which... More

The hostess at our cottage recommended this place to us. We were not too sure about it when we got there--off the main historic area in a little mall area. But then we walked in! It is decorated adorably. The food was not cheap but very delicious. The only complaint we had was the $2 per person corkage fee for... More

Six of us will be returning to LoGrasso's tomorrow night!! We have eaten there multiple times and have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. I for one am glad they ASK if you want bread since many people are now low carb or gluten free....restaurants lose a lot of money when bread is wasted.....and the paper on the tables... More

Stopped on a Friday evening w/o a reservation, hostess (owner?) let us have a table that was reserved for an hour or so later. She asked if that was enough time, I said that is up to the kitchen staff not me. Food, ambiance, server and overall feel for this place was wonderful. Not often do I look for Italian... More

Lo Grasso’s features an old-fashioned Southern Italian style of cuisine that can be tasty, explaining the many rave reviews here. It may not not be gourmet, but some items, like the scampi appetizer, can be addictive. Like most Italian family style restaurants, they load some dishes with pasta and a heavy, oil-drenched tomato sauce. You won’t leave hungry, as the... More
