I hosted my husband's 50th birthday here and it was a great spot! Good, local seafood and a great view of the Atlantic! Felt very casual and local. I would recommend it for a family dinner, dinner for two or a party!

As a native of the area I decided to go to the Lobster Pool to avoid any of the lines I expected at the more tourist places. The lobster Pool is low key, or rustic with indoor and outdoor picnic table seating. The staff are very nice and your order is announced with a little rhyme. The food was good... More

Can't get any better than this....fresh out of the ocean that day! Friends from Manchester by the Sea introduced this place to us and AWESOME! You can choose the size you want, choose the seating out or indoor. Best to be outdoor by the rocks and enjoy your lobster as the sun sets! Also you have to get their clam... More

Quite pricey but pleasant enough (except see below) "in the rough" place. Outside dining spectacular. Do agree with other reviewers however that the woman up front taking the orders has a terrible edge to her customer service. Don't ask questions of any kind or try to substitute anything. Really, at those prices she should be killing folks with kindness. I... More

Our visit to the Lobster Pool was a bit of a disappointment. Whilst the views from the grassy area behind the restaurant are lovely, the service and food at the time of our visit were unimpressive. The lady serving us was unfriendly and rude (I still feel like I should beg her forgiveness for daring to ask if they served... More

Ate there on August 9, 2014. I debated whether to rate the restaurant poor or average. It was not horrible, but far from what I expected. We'd heard in the major Boston newspaper that this was the #1 restaurant for lobster rolls in the country. So a group of us went up for the seafood and to see the sites... More

My husband and I went for dinner. It was during the week and fairly early, so it was not busy. The locations is absolutely gorgeous, but the food we had leaves something to be desired. It is a very casual restaurant, where you order your meal at the front when you arrive, and they give you a number. The restaurant... More

Midweek visit, no waiting unlike weekends. Have eaten here several times over the years. Food is always good, very light batter and plentiful. Prices are set for tourists. Basic dinner; med shrimp, mini clam plate, 2 sodas and small lobster bisque= $50. 11.5 months of the year I'm landlocked so it's a small price to pay for real New England... More

A sunset dinner here is always on our summer to-do list. The fried plates are plentiful and tasty with a light batter. The lobsters are delicious! Sunset views are available at picnic tables inside or out. And... to avoid having to rely on a table (they go fast), bring your beach chairs and blankets and carve out your own space... More

Beautiful view! Delicious food! The wait was long, but they let you sit outside and enjoy the view. The night we were there, they were surprised by the turnout and actually ran out of food and had to close early!!
