My boyfriend and I ate at the Grand Cafe At The Emerson Inn for New Year's Eve 2008. The prix fix menu was $75.00 per person and featured several unique and fancy choices for each course. We enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere and the live piano music, it was as festive as we had anticipated. Unfortunately the service was not satisfactory.... more

We are locals from Rockport and decided to dine at the Emerson's Grand Cafe since we haven't been there for a couple of years. I have to admit this was the best experience we had there and I credit this to their new Chef Daniel Martin. I'm rating this as one of the top fine dining restaurants on Cape Ann!... more

My husband and I don't agree on too many things but we did agree about this restaurant. Neither one of us liked the food. We ordered Chicken stuffed with blue cheese (can't remember the fancy name they gave it) . The chicken looked as if it were deep fried and eating a piece of the chicken without the stuffing it... more

My husband and I have just eaten at the Emerson Inn, Rockport. Although the hotel has a beautiful location, the food is terribly overpriced and not of the standard that you would expect in such a well known Inn. All our choices were extravagantly described on the Menu, but when the dishes for each course arrived, portions were ridiculously small... more

There is a new menu and new food at The Grand Cafe. All I have to say is that everyone should try it. If you are looking for fine dining this is the place to good. Incredibly eligant and unique presentation, original flavors and excellent service. The chef even went to all tables himself to make sure everything was superb! more

Great Food Hopeless Service The cuisine at the Grand Café located at the Emerson Inn in Rockport, MA is excellent. Last evening a party of 5 had excellent swordfish and haddock served on a bed of vegetables that were a perfect complement to the delicate fish. The fish tasted as it came from the sea.
