We stopped in to ask some questions, the young man that was working was very accommodating and knowledgeable. He cheerfully answered all of our questions, pulling "Lobstahs" out of the tank to illustrate his explanations. We saw him later that evening at The Fish Shack ( their sister restaurant) and were told he had been with the company since he... More

Fresh lobster served in the rough. Lobster roll was packed with large chunks in my lobster roll. Whole lobster cracked shell and served with butter. Great chowder as well. It's a shack with take out or a back deck on the harbor that seats about 24. Very casual and incredibly good. They also sell fresh fish, clams , scallops and... More

Walk right in and pick out a Lobster, and 12 minutes later walk out with breakfast lunch or dinner. Can't get any fresher than that. Incredibly friendly staff will hook you up with all sorts of seafood.

The food was average but the convenience and hours of operation were great. They were open long after the others had closed and the take out option was mush appreciated.

Since we only had a brief half day tour out of Boston, we decided to pick-up some lobster rolls to-go from this local favorite. I would be comparing and contrasting to 2 other varieties, (Pauli's and Boston Chowda in Beantown), but decided our Fried Clam stop in Essex would be the dine-in spot, and we'd savor these crustacean sammies for... We ordered a whole lobster which was very good but really pricey for the location. We expected to pay about $15 but the lobsters were selling for over $20.

Started each of our 3 days in Rockport at Roy Moore's Lobster! Nothing like it. Truly was the breakfast of champions. I LOVED everything about Roy's! The fabulous lobster - the great people - the seaside ambience - and the friendly, coziness of the whole place. Yes... they guys there told us the price was a little high due to... More

I think I missed out on what this place has to offer. Maybe just sticking to lobster would have been best. I got a fish Cake and stuffed clam....which were both microwaved. That was a turn straight off but I kept my mind open. Well, neither were very good. They were ALL breading. And left me with heartburn.

No doubt, lobster here is as fresh and simply prepared as it can be. The lobster roll is delicious! My only little complaint it that I find it a tad expensive: 17 dollars might not seem very much for an entire lobster, but, as the place offers few comforts (and it can get very cold outside, where the tables are),...
