While we love to see a few sides like pre-made salads and maybe some rolls to cushion that lobster and butter, nobody makes a better boiled lobster than Ken Porter. He simply cooks them in filtered seawater. Bring your own beer and wine because they are still a BYOB place. Eat out back at the simple wooden tables and do... More

Roy Moores place is not terribly impressive from an ambiance point of view. It does have a number of tables along the windows that give a nice view of the old harbor but the rest of the place is old school. The food is fairly good, however. We had the boiled lobster platter and it was nicely done. The halibut... More

We ate at The Fish Shack (where the lobsters are supposed to come from Roy Moore's) and it was very good. But, now that we have been to "The" Roy Moore Lobster Company, the hole-in-the-wall on Bearskin Neck, we'll probably never go back. We got three lobster rolls, two to eat and the third because the first two were SO... More

So we are working our way through the lobster shack book - and we've now been to the "top 3" in the book for this area -and this one was the best yet in terms of taste and lobster and value for money. Properly cooked "fresh" (ie. not part-cooked and reheated) ... this place is paired down to the basics,... More

Very fresh seafood, I recommend the clam chowder and lobster roll. Friendly service, food was brought out almost too quickly, but can't really complain because we were hungry and it tasted so good! Picnic tables and booths so very family friendly. Prices were reasonable too.

Three for Thirty Bucks was a awesome deal. We sat out back and ate our lobster and chowder. This place does not sell alcohol but they do encourage you to bring your own beer. We ran back to our hotel and grabbed a couple each and it really made the lobsters even that much better. They offer everything. always fresh... More

If you are looking for white table linen and a gourmet menu go somewhere else! As the reviews say this is a shack with picnic tables in the back. However the food is fresh off the boat and it is cooked to perfection. This is where I send tourists if they are looking for delicious chowder or lobster. As a... More

No question you are getting seafood off the boat. The atmosphere is that of a fisherman's shack you may be sitting down with the fisherman that brought in the seafood that you are eating! No risk!

We just stopped by for a cup of clam chowder. We sat at a bench in the back yard as the sun was going down. It's friendly and informal. The guys here haven't been on the charm course - they're just naturally friendly. The chowder was great, and good value.
