This place has amazing fried clams. Best I have ever had. Perfectly seasoned and full belly's. Clam chowder is local award winner. Service was excellent. Dining room overlooks the harbor and there is plenty of parking on the wharf which is nice because street parking is horrible. This place is right downtown Rockport.

My husband got the clam chowder and says it was everything he was hoping it would be: large serving(bowl), chunky and robust flavors. Mom got the quiche- tasted great don't get me wrong but for 12/serving it was lacking in size: only about a 4inch long by 2 inch wide by 2 inch deep slice! I got the baked potatoe... More

We had dinner at Ellen's on a Friday night in August. It's a comfortable, down home place specializing in fried or baked seafood. They had a decent local beer selection. Everything was prepared well.

Enjoyed our yearly visit with children and grandchildren to Ellen`s Harbourside on the waterfront in Rockport Mass. After a glorious day at Good Harbour Beach in Gloucester Mass, we were 12 people looking for a seafood dinner in Rockport, Mass. 2 places turned us down because of the 8pm hour, not enough food or just too busy. Tried Ellen`s and... More

Lovely restaurant, great food, including a killer lobster roll and the best bread pudding I have eve eaten. Very accommodating staff. Loved it!

I went to Ellen's as a recommendation from a person I met in Rockport, and was not disappointed. The excellent seafood I ordered was accompanied by a terrific server who was very friendly, attentive, and fun to talk to.

But... the food was only so-so and the service was very poor..there were several tables with good views that were empty. Our table had no view and the impression we got was they didn't care if we ate there are not, one visit was enough.

We had a nice meal with a great harbour view table. The waitress was very friendly. They do half portions which is nice. The bathroom is tiny and awkwardly placed with a door that opens into a crowded space. Needs a little remodeling.

During our afternoon visit to beautiful Rockport MA, we ate "where the locals eat". Wow. The view is breathtaking... sit near the window! The white sangria was tasty. I ordered "Lazy Shrimp" which was a casserole of shrimp in a butter sauce.. delish! My sister-in-law loved the "Lazy Lobster". I also recommend the New England Clam Chowder.
