Friendly service . but the food was awful. Food arrived 3 mins after being ordered, it seems everything is deep fat fried .

We ate here for lunch because they had a lobster special. My wife said the lobster was wonderful and it came with a baked potato and roll. I had the lobster roll which was also very good and came with slaw and fries. The service was great and the price was a little less than the Lobster Pot for both... More

Wood-paneled, diner-like booths, with a VERY large menu. Probably considered a "family style" restaurant, and you won't find the trendy diners here. But in Provincetown, where every establishment appears to charge whatever they think the traffic will bear, this place offers some excellently prepared "specials" at very low prices. What attracted us to this restaurant was the specials advertised in... More

Just because it's not trendy, does not mean that you won't have a great meal here. In PTown, a sign that says "for family dining" can be considered controversial. Ignore the politics of the message and just go have a good meal. We went on two different nights, just to try different entree selections. There are very few of these... More

We really enjoyed our meal at the Mayflower. Not much for ambience but the food was good and plentiful.

Recommended by an accquaintance of mine, I visited the Mayflower Cafe this past week during a week long stay in Truro.Disappointing experience! This is a Tourist trap that touts fresh lobsters at the cheapest price anywhere in Ptown. Upon entering the restaurant there was a prominent odor of fried fish / greasy fryolaters, ventilation system is poor. Waiter was friendly... More

The menu was posted on the window, the offerings seemed attractive, so we stopped for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. The initial service was friendly and quick, but went downhill from there. Food was slow in coming. When the food finally came, it was dropped off with nothing said, and the waitperson promptly disappeared. It would have been nice to... More

Like it is written on their sign: Family dining is welcome. Food was decent, good kids meals choices, good table space, and service was good. Not the best meal we had in ptown, but we will return thanks to the family frienly atmosphere, good service and ample food choices for our family

We mismanaged our time on this day and found ourselves without reservations, hungry and unwilling to wait 45 minutes for a table. We decided to try the Mayflower thinking it looked like a favorite diner / family restaurant back home. Big mistake. The place is dirty and the food awful. My "classic" reuben was all sauerkraut & cheese with minimal... More

Great family casual place in the heart of town. Reminded me of a good diner. Everything was yummy-grilled cheese, fries, lobster club...service was good, people were friendly. Would highly recommend.
