Decent Surprise

I was a little leary of eating here as it seemed a little dank. However, the food was pretty good. I had the turkey club, and it was great. Only complaint I have is that wait staff was hard to understand.

My husband and I went to Provincetown this past Memorial Day weekend. I remember going to the Mayflower Cafe with my parents as a child, and I really wanted to go back. We went, and the food was pretty good, but I'm not sure if it was good enough that I would go back. I got the fried scallops and... More

I have been coming to the Mayflower all my life, first as a child then with our son and we plan to bring our grandchildren soon. The atmosphere is comfy/ homey with deep comfy booths and delightful caricatures on the wall. The food and atmosphere have been consistent over the years always fresh and expertly prepared. Their Portuguese specialties are... More

Yep its true. Both of us had the lobster, which would have cost us at least $40 back home. Had a salad, potato, and melted butter to go with the Lobster and it was delicious. We returned the next day for dinner. Had the Portuguese chicken, and spouse has the baked scrod. Both were very good. Service was good too... More

This place is a great place to eat. Ok it's not super swanky but it is really great for familes and good value. Food is reasonably priced and oh so tasty. Service friendly and the seafood dishes are delicious drinks are good value too. I like the fact that it hasn't changed for years.

Provincetown is VERY busy and it was hard to find somewhere to eat that we didn't have to queue for so opted for the Mayflower café. The toilets were the tiniest I have seen anywhere ever but they were clean. The décor is very old fashioned but the food was good and reasonably priced too.

We have been vacationing in P-Town for years...The Mayflower by far is our favorite dining spot...the food and service are exceptional. We have tried many items on the menu and have thoroughly enjoyed everything. The service and the staff are wonderful...efficient and friendly. A GREAT PLACE!

We decided to try this place for lunch because it wasn't as crowded as the other restaurants we saw. Lunch was good-we had the special: Chowder, Fish Sandwich and a drink-I think it was $10. A great value-good food.

We were tired, hungry, and it was starting to rain. The specials and menu looked tempting so we went in for lunch. The steamers clam special was inedible-barely cooked, tough, and sandy. The NE clam chowder was short on clams and tasted like they were out of a can .Campbell's is better. The hamburger was a pre-formed tasteless frozen patty.... More

This is our favorite Ptown restaurant for lunch and a "not so fancy" but delicious dinner. If you want lobster abd steamers this is the place. Only problem, go early enough so they don't run out of lobsters! (It happens) The twin Maine lobsters are a bargain and cooked perfectly. There is a wealth of seafood, plenty of choices for... More
