"Ciro tolerance" is a good thing

I live on Cape Cod but had not been to Provincetown in years. Then I purchased an email discount deal for Ciro & Sal's and thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this funky historic town. Ciro & Sal's is a cozy downstairs spot located on a tiny alleyway in P'town's East End. The front dining room has a... read more

My husband and I loved this restaurant for many years and we ate there at least twice a year. We never looked at the menu because we had our favorite meal that we'd salivate for weeks before we got there. It was veal marsala with the house salad and a dish of pasta with red sauce. We used to get... More

I love this place. Old fashion Italian places were once a staple in New England as there were so many Italians. And now with the influx of newer restaurants, the Italian places are starting to die away. This place is a great mix of old school, basic New England Italian and newer Italian food that you'd find in a fancier... More

The dinning room is unique. When we were there it was windy and raining out and the roaring fireplace made us comfortable fast. The service was attentive. There were four of us and we ordered different dishes. I liked that you could order 1/2 a pasta to add to a entrée. We chose a reasonable priced red & white wine.... More

After hearing great things about the restaurant, I was a little "eh" about the experience in the end. We had a reservation for 8pm, and were not seated until 8:45pm. The hostess was not very accommodating and seemed frazzled and a bit short with other parties including us. Once we were seated, the waitress took our order around 9:10-9:15pm, however,... More

Can't say enough great things about Ciro & Sal's. Certainly among the best Italian meals we have had, and being a Sicilian from Brooklyn, New York that is saying a lot. My wife had the Calamari Piccanti and I had the Seafood 'Fra Diavalo' both were incredible. The ambiance is charming complete with traditional straw wrapped Chianti bottles hung everywhere... More

Great place to eat hidden down a alley in Provincetown in the art district. The ambiance is incredible. Perfect lighting and wonderful food. Try the eggplant it is not your typical Italian eggplant parm however it is unique and has a great different flair to it.

This restaurant is right off commercial street on a quiet side street. We stopped in without a reservation and were able to get a table right away. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was excellent.

Ciro n Sal's has been there for 63 years - with good reason. The food is VERY GOOD and so is the service. Its the oldest rest. in Provencetown and the Kiley Court. They also have a 3 course prix fixe if your interested - good value. Give it a try, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

A group of us went to Ciro's on a local recommendation. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The service was okay and the atmosphere was pleasant enough, but the overpriced food was middling. The meatballs with the spaghetti and meatballs were cold, the eggplant parmesan was almost indigestible, and the veal was overdone On the positive side, the lemon salmon dish... More
