I normally would rate Woods a 4, but they fell WAY short tonight. As usual I ordered something on the specials, the baked striped bass. It took 30 minutes to get our meal (ordered @5:45) and my fish was dry and had a thick grey layer of nasty fishy tasting yucky flesh. The French fries were dry, dry, dry. Hubby... More

Went to Wood's with wife and son, being a lover of fish and chips. Take-out style ordering, with tables to eat in. Fish and chips, with haddock was very mediocre, on the lower level of other places I've been. Breading was thin and dry, and the fish, although fresh was somewhat dry. My son's fried shrimp were also disappointing, with... More

If you are looking for fresh seafood and don't care about eating in a fancy restaurant, this is it for you. Fantastic food, reasonable prices coupled with the location of the Plymouth waterfront. It's usually busy, so you will have to scope out a table inside or do as we did...eat on a picnic table on the pier. One word:... More

First, the warning: This place doesn't serve tap water. If you want a drink, you have to pay $2 for a fountain soda or (plastic-tasting) bottled water. HOWEVER, that said, the food here is great. Their lobster rolls costs a little more than Lobster Hut's, but it's MUCH better, fresher and with big chunks of lobster. Definitely come here for... More

My mouth waters at the thought of the delightful, light, crispy fish and chips from Wood's. It was just so fresh and flaky I could cry at the deliciousness. I will be making the hour drive from Pawtucket, RI every now and then just to get this treat again. My husband loved the steamers and my in-laws enjoyed their clamstrips... More

The food was very good here and served in a casual atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed their meal and talked about going back there to eat again.

I was at this place this afternoon with my girlfriend, we visited Plymouth on our way from Boston to Cape Cod and decided to stop here for some seafood. We ordered the lobster bisque, the New England clam chowder , an order of steamed mussels, and crab cakes. All the food was outstanding, the only comment I would like to... More

We were returning from the Cape and stopped in Plymouth. My wife saw that Wood's was rated fairly high. I ordered the Lobster Roll, which was tasty enough. My mother-in-law had a clam roll, that was also good, but my wife ordered the fried shrimp, which was breaded and frozen at some factory; they were terrible, as were the onion... More
