Beautiful venue, great service and good food

A perfect restaurant/tavern in the forest with absolutely great service, an innovative menu with good food. The cold white yogurt based lobster bisque was well worthwhile ordering

The Rye Tavern is located down a long dirt road, we sat in the outdoor area and the service was excellent, there is a large outdoor bar, fire-pit with chairs..The service is excellent, the food is good but not worth the high price.

The setting was nice for a small gathering on a nice summer day. the food had lots of flavor we had some appetizers and entrees. Husband wanted the lamb meatballs and said they were great..although the vanilla lobster bisque was a little too sweet and some what overwhelming to be able to taste the lobster-little funky. The risotto with the... More

We ate outside on the patio. It's situated in the woods and mosquitoes were a problem. The waitress was great and anticipated our needs. Most of the vegetables are from their garden or local growers and the change their menu to reflect what's ready to harvest. The menu was very creative. Our food was delicious and we could hear comments... More

The Rye Tavern is quite expensive, and the overall quality of the food does not justify the expense. I ordered a NY sirloin steak that, although cooked to my doneness specification, was tough and virtually inedible. I would have sent it back, but we were there with our two guests who had suggested the restaurant, so I didn't want to... More

This place is off the beaten path and well worth finding. The charm of the inside is only beaten by the beauty of its surroundings. On a beautiful day sit outside, but make sure you make a reservation as they book up fast, especially for dinner. We went for lunch and both the breakfast and lunch menus were available. The... Stayed at the Mirbeau and went to this place for dinner, what a fantastic presentation in the woods, great sense of arrival. They say this is an old structure, could have fooled me. Service was a little slow from the onset but the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Cocktails were interesting although on fruitier side. Food selection was dynamite,... More

We were recommended to try this restaurant and as we were driving down a dirt road admittedly started to wonder what kind of restaurant we would find. Every once in a while you discover a restaurant that because the food and decor are so fabulous the meal becomes a grand adventure. This is one of those places. Once a stagecoach... More

Great restaurant that I hestitate to recommend as we enjoy getting a table there. We've been going for years and the food is the best. Fresh ingredients some grown on premises. You forget your in Plymouth when you go to this wonderful spot nestled in a field surrounded by the woods of the pine hills. Try the clam chowder then... More

Set out on the edge of Plymouth in the pines and down a dirt road, it has to be good or no one would come to visit. Fresh greens grown in the garden accent the Nouvelle Cuisine served in this delightful colonial era tavern. Do not miss the Live Music on the patio.
