We have been here many times, & last time we brought a party of 12 with us for a special occasion. This was a good meal about to be ruined by a bad waitress. This time we ordered an appetizer of crispy brussel sprouts & clam chowder, which were delicious. However, when Nicolett, the waitress, brought the main dishes of... More

Haven't patronized for a while but really liked my scallops. Very accommodating changing out sides. Lovely service.

Lovely country setting on the end of a long dirt road.. Great wait staff.. Our first taste of their Clam Chowder should have warned us on what was in store... Chowder was served over Chorizo and garlic mashed potatoes with a very smokey taste... The clam flavor , was over powered with the smokey chorizo.. I had pan seared scallops... More

If you love true clam chowder, I think you will love this one. It was made with the most favorable clam broth/clams/bacon with mashed potatoes propped up on the side inside the bowl and several fried clams on top of that. It was most delicious!!

We drove to Rye Tavern for lunch then discovered it opened at 4pm. My sister-in-law and I went back around 5 or 5:30 and had no problem getting seated outside. We ordered a couple appetizers, salads, and a bottle of wine. The food was both delicious and pleasing to the eye. The outdoor setting was awesome. While we were there... More

Wonderful food, beautiful grounds. I can't even describe how beautiful the setting is. We ate outside, and had a view of the outdoor bar and patio, as well as the outdoor fire pit, the garden, and the adirondack chairs sitting near a field of grains waving in the wind. It is worth a visit and drink at the bar (or... More

My first, and most definitely not last, visit to Rye Tavern was genuine. I've heard nothing but wonderful reviews from trusted sources and I finally got to experience the decadence for myself. All I can say is I was thoroughly impressed. From the drive there, which was built up by the winding dirt road, to the rustic tavern-like setting (cue... More

Down a long dirt road is not where you expect to find a good and unique restaurant, but that is the case here. An 18th century home houses the Tavern, a lot of outside seating, but we dined inside by preference. Excellent service at the bar and table. Menu was diverse and unique. I had shrimp and chick pea bisque... More

We sat outdoors on a beautiful July evening and had a wonderful time. The food was interesting and well prepared. The tables inside looked small and poorly placed - but the patio was lovely. The food was excellent - especially the Truffle Parmesan French Fries! Get them as an appetizer if they don't go with your meal! I had the... More

The Rye Tavern is our favorite place to eat when we are looking to celebrate a birthday or anniversary - or when we are looking to have a nice evening with friends. The menu changes with the season, as it is inspired by the garden out back. Luckily, though, there are some items we look forward to having anytime (clam... More
