Wow! Go out of your way to find this tavern

It's a "farm to table" concept and does not disappoint. Fresh. Tasty. Crazy good cocktails. Good wine by the glass. Beef excellent! Great service and comfortable setting. Go!

We have eaten here several times - but only the third time this summer. The atmosphere is always great but the quality of the food seems to be slowly slipping away. I started with the vanilla lobster bisque - which was the consistency of melted ice cream with a very old, spongy piece of a partial lobster claw on top.... More

This was our first time to the Rye Tavern, thanks to Tripadvisor. We were looking for some place new to go and the reviews lead us here. It was fantastic!!! We had the crispy brussel sprouts and Chatham mussels for our appetizers. I am not a fan of Brussel sprouts in general, but cooked this way with Gorgonzola cheese, put... More

This charming out of the way tavern is cozy, has delicious food and excellent service. Staff goes out of the way to make diners comfortable. A great place to host a smaller function.

The Rye Tavern, and old 1700's stop on the way from Plymouth to Sandwich, can be a wonderful experience on a summer evening dining outdoors. The service and food can be inconsistent, however. At times it is very good and at times mediocre. Indoors can be noisy to the point of distraction. Ambiance is excellent, however.

My first time to Rye Tavern and I was very impressed. Everything I ate except the dessert was amazing. I can't wait to go back. The drive down the dirt road was cool, all the flowers, outside bar and tables as well as the cute inside made a perfect setting. I also loved the sink in the ladies room.

First, I'd like to say that this is not my first visit to Rye Tavern and I am pretty sure that I wrote a very favorable review in TripAdvisor, but that was several years ago following a couple of visits for brunch. Things have certainly changed. I remember excellent, friendly and helpful service, but that seems to have been replaced... More

Wow ... Quite disappointed to drive all this way to find out the place was not open from 3-5pm. And we were told a tad rudely, that we should have looked at the restaurant website, not just online sites. Funny, I did do that and everything including their own Facebook Page, their website & their sign at their own front... More

A perfect restaurant/tavern in the forest with absolutely great service, an innovative menu with good food. The cold white yogurt based lobster bisque was well worthwhile ordering
