We have enjoyed going to the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, for a date night, and with our kids. So far, with very few exceptions, we have enjoyed our meals here. The wine list is great. We will definitely be back. Make sure you get a reservation, they are often booked!

My husband, myself and a friend ate here in November for dinner. I decided to go based on Trip Advisor reviews and I had seen this restaurant featured on Phantom Gourmet. The restaurant is warm and cozy but hard to find, my Garmin got us there with very few problems. We shared an appetizer of baby clams which was very... More

we have had brunch at rye tavern multiple times usually on Sundays. We sit at the bar, the food is amazing we especially love when the fireplace is going. I always have theCaesar salad and burger(medium rare) and my husband gets a bowl of chowder (amazing) and the shrimp omelette. Michael is so great, very professional and very informative. always... Ate here with a bunch of friends. Drinks were good, appetizers were good, clam chowder was GREAT. Main course left a little to be desired, at least for me. I got the veal chop and it was a bit fatty. Two others at the table got the same and they didn't fuss over it, so maybe I got the unlucky... More

This is very nice restaurant. All four of us agreed that our meals were excellent, and very well prepared. The clam chowder was very tasty with whole clams. Burger, eggs, and drinks were all great. The service by Jessica was outstanding.

Ever since moving back from England I've been looking for those rare pubs that actually remind me of a local. Driving down the dirt road leading to Rye, walking up the old granite stairs, and into a bar warmed by a roaring wood fire transported me back to the English countryside. The menu was mouthwatering and made choosing difficult. The... More

The Rye Tavern in Plymouth is a bit "off the beaten track", but an interesting place to experience a meal. They're part of the "Farm to Table" movement with fresh, locally grown food, that supports local New England farms. They state that this "not only benefits our bellies but is also is good for the environment; we aren’t wasting gas... More

Rye Tavern had just what we were looking for a special night out. The menu had some unique items and favorites for those less adventuresome. The local farm ingredients were obvious in our choices. One of us had the "sirloin cut" lamb which was nothing like we'd ever tasted! The other entree, a squash filled gnocchi with figs and cream... More

In terms of Plymouth-- or the south shore, this restaurant nails it overall. With a menu of seasonally changing modern cuisine reflecting what's grown in their on-site garden, excellent service, a beautiful and historically rich location; I can't think of a restaurant I love sitting in more.
