Lunch at the bar

We were on our way back to Boston and stopped by Alden Park. Nice, knowledgeable bartender , good wine list by the glass and simple menu. Food was fresh and good. We will go back for sure if we are in town.

Alden Park Bar & Grill - Plymouth, MA - 5/12/2015 White Cheddar Focaccia Bread house-made butter. Served just above room temperature and quite good... I would have preferred the butter a bit more softened but at least it not butter packets... Next up... Griller romaine hearts with chunks of bacon, roasted cherry tomatoes, shaved parmesan cheese and bleu cheese dressing... More

The place is sorta small but usually always busy. They also use "open table". They have a discount bar food menu at the bar. The fried pickles are wicked awesome. The photo is of my empty plate. The sweet potato chips are yummy too. The restaurant is tucked in a very busy strip mall area. Lots of free parking. We... More

My husband and I went to Alden Park last night, on recommendation of a local. We ate at the bar and this is a great establishment.. I got lettuce wraps and were the best I've ever had. My husband got a crab cake app with a burger and thought both were Awesome. The bar staff were very friendly and upbeat.... More

Went to Alden Park for the first time tonight, and it was great! Great atmosphere - subdued lighting, and nice seating. We ordered the calamari appetizer, which had rock shrimp and a great sauce. We both had the roasted cod with pumpkin risotto. The fish was very fresh. Also had an Alden Park coffee for dessert. Yum! Will definitely keep... More

I was looking for a "new" spot to try as it is very easy to fall into a pattern of eating at the same places. After a Google search and reading some reviews I settled on Alden Park. The restaurant is very nice - atmosphere and decor. The place was bustling so I was happy to have reservations. The steak... More

Great dinner, I even was able to order roses for my wife through the restaurant and they were on our table when we arrived. I had a toasted Ceasar salad (a variation of a reg. Ceasar salad) the salad leaves were slightly toasted and several ingredients beyond including cherry tomatoes. My had the capaccio salad which was great. For main... More

You expect a bit more with the prices but what you get is an average chain restaurant type meal. I got the beef wellington. The fillet tasted like it could have been a chuck roast that was never tenderized. It was so tough it had to have been microwaved. The only way someone can destroy such a beautiful cut of... More

The food was fantastic, we had the Broccoli and Cheddar soup, Grilled Reuben, and Cobb Salad. We asked for modifications to our salad and sandwich, and they happily accommodated the request. Shawn E was our server, and made the visit worth the five stars. Friendly, courteous and attentive. We felt like our business mattered. We will be back!

We live close to Plymouth and have been very disappointed with the local restaurants. The Alden Park Bar and Grill was a pleasant surprise. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was a refreshing change from the other local establishments. We had Nick as our waiter and I would recommend that you ask for him when you go to Alden...
