Great dinner

Roobar has a pretty cool atmosphere and really phenomenal food. Its located in a strange area (office park), but its definitely worthwhile to take the trip here. The bar side had a band the night we went there too. Service was a lil slow, but we didn't mind at all.

Had dinner here, the staff was efficient, if not all that friendly. My entrée was gourmet-ish, but was a bit on the bland side. Went hoping for something surf, and turf. They had turf, and they had a little bit of surf, but nothing together? Pretty much all they had for seafood was scallops, and swordfish, could definitely use more... More

Came here for dinner and drinks for the first time. It has a really cool atmosphere. We sat in the bar at one of the round booths and enjoyed the live music and people watching. The bartender was very friendly and speedy, we enjoyed chatting with him. Our server was pleasant, and helpful with choosing other options when they ran... More

This is a great place for both couples and families. Since it opens daily at 4:00, it is a good place to bring the kids, offering lots of options for the youngsters. Since the RooBar is located in a restored rope mill (hence Cordage Park) it is kid proof. For the adults, there is a lively bar area separate from... More

Roobar was good. My wife and I went for valentine's day. We started with calamari which was just OK. It only came with the rings, not the whole bodies so I didn't personally love it. The two dipping sauces were good not great. I would have liked the marinara with some kick, but it was pretty plain. They have a... More

I took some friends out for a before Christmas Dinner. There were five of us in all, three adults and 2 children. We were concerned from the name that it might not be appropriate for small children. But we soon learned that they are able to accommodate all kinds of groups, even with kids as they have crayons and things... More

Roobar super yummy! Shared a fantastic bottle of Pinot Noir that was rich and smooth "Pizzoni" excellent wine. Started with a Apple, Fig, Blue cheese with a maple vinaigrette, such a great fall salad the figs were small and delectable. Main course was another shared adventure; Crispy Eggplant pizza...AMAZEBALLS!! Super yummy the eggplant was "crisped" just right. Dessert soon followed... More

Excellent service, wonderful food. We arrived early, so there were few other customers. Wood-fired oven provided great atmosphere (and warmth on a dreary day) as well as terrific food. Prices were a bit high, so we would go back for a special occasion.

We have tried Roobar several times over the past 8 years and tonight the food was the best it's ever been. Wonderful pasta! But the noise level is too much to enjoy the meal. They need more soft surfaces to compliment that modern industrial decor.

My wife and I have dined here many times and always look forward to our next visit. The food has always been phenomenal! One of us always gets a scallop dish - we've just never had better at any other restaurant. The menu stays fresh with seasonal preparations in addition to the regular diners' favorites like coffee-braised short ribs. We... More
