Each year my two daughters play "hookie" from their jobs and we enjoy a Christmas shopping day and special lunch. This year we went to Chieftain Pub for the first time and we were very pleased with our choice. We especially loved the homemade bread they served as we first sat down. I tried without success to get the Irish... More

Dropped into this lovely Irish pub on route to outlets in wrentham. Greeted by lovely barman John, a little pet, there were a few Irish girls there too and all were Busy busy but they well able. I had Callan Steak, others had steak tips and Cappoquin chicken. It was served promptly and drinks kept topped up!Well done all round.... More

My wife & I have been here many times. Not only is the food great but the service by the owners and the rest of the staff has a very personal touch! Don't miss the Steamers special on Mondays!

Great service, Great Value for the area, good, friendly, local pub with wide variety, seafood, irish, everything you could want. Would highly recommend versus any chain restaurant. Glad to see these places still exist.

The Chieftain has quite a following - we were there on a Wednesday night and the dining room was quite full with folks having lots of fun. The waitresses were casual and efficient. Guinness was served perfectly. The fish & chips were light - acceptable. Sadly, there were 2 dessert options on the menu and after we ordered the chocolate... More

Randomly picked a place that came up under seafood and what a place it is. Neat interior pub style and the food selection is great. I had the 1/2 scallop and spinach pie and it was more than I expected. It was first on the menu and on the specials board so I figured I would try it. Great flavor,... More

I wanted New England seafood, and I was super happy with this choice. My friend and I split a two pound bucket of steamers, which were fresh and delicious. For dinner, I had the grilled salmon, which was perfect, and my friend had the fried clam bellies which were awesome. I can barely write this review without drooling. Even the... More

Irish Pub/Sports Bar with better than average Irish Pub fare. Wide selection of entrees, generous portions and appetizers even for healthy choices. Nice selection of draft beer at very reasonable prices. Bartenders friendly and prompt. Enough TVs for the sports enthusiast.

The food is excellent and will be prepared to your needs. The atmosphere is one that makes you feel like you are in a pub in Ireland. If you like sports, then the pub is great because the TVs are always onto the latest game. Saturday evenings there is always a group playing, which adds to the atmosphere.
