Went on a Thurs. night with girlfriends from high school! We started with shrimp jammers, which were delish with creamy montery jack cheese infused! They split the pail of steamers and I had the spinach salad with grilled chicken and gorgonzola. They loved the steamers and I enjoyed the spicy chirico and onions that came along with it. The irish... More

We love the atmosphere at the Chieftain. In the summer, you cannot beat their pail of steamers! They are the best we've ever had. Sandwiches and dinners are good too, and we've never had a long wait for seating. Great last minute choice!

Stopped by the Chieftain while attending some training in the area. I'd have no problem coming back. As other reviewers have said (and their website shows), it's an Irish restaurant/pub with plenty to choose from on the menu. I sidled up the smaller bar in the front of the place (go to the left after you enter the front door)... More

Good food and music. Always enjoy going to Chieftain! Has the feel of a traditional Irish pub (the owners are from Ireland). It does get busy on the weekends so be prepared to wait a few minutes for a table-it is worth the wait!

I visited the Chieftan Pub with a colleague, and it was... alright. It was lunchtime and they had customers seating themselves, which resulted in us not being noticed and waiting 15+ minutes for anyone to come over and greet us and ask for our drink orders. Sweet! The food arrived fairly quickly, but wasn't anything to write home about. And... More

This is a great Irish Restaurant & Pub with great food. The restaurant is easily located near the junction of Route 1 & Route 106 in Plainville. Usually a waiting line, but they move pretty quickly; I think because the food is so good you want to eat it all quickly. All of the food is good, but they serve... More

A very good Irish pub with a large selection of entres. There has always been a large number of local residents each time I have been there. But never overcrowded. This is my restaurant of choice when I am in town for business.

My family and I eat here quite often. We always anticipate the arrival of their homemade bread. It is always delicious and we usually ask for a second basket. The pub food is great and the authentic Irish pub specials are terrific. I always get a cold tell glass of Magners hard cider with my meal. Yum! They also have... More
