Having seen "Undercover Boss" some time ago featuring the CEO of the parent company of a number of buffets, including Old Country Buffet, we decided to visit the store in Pittsfield, MA close to where we are vacationing. The price was right: $7.99 for seniors (beverage included). There was a good variety of foods--essentially what one would expect of a... More

We went to Old Country Buffett on an Easter Sunday and this place was packed. The staff are nice, friendly and fast. They were able to have us seated right away. The food is great! We love their orange chicken. Great place to eat out!

I have to budget my self around buffets. I go in promising myself a large salad, a plate of sensible entrees and a dessert. I leave doing the "walk of shame" to my car after eating enough to support a small village. This one had several good and very fresh choices. Love the fried chicken at Old Country but the... More

WE eat here when we are in a hurry and want to be sure to get salad and plain simple meats. Sure it is a buffet but one can eat sensibly and still stay on a diet or eat on the healthier side. Restaurant is usually clean and in this day and age there is no specific rush hour although... More

Hey, the only other one of this chain i eat at is in Portland Maine. I like that one, and of course I like this one. This was clean, it just opened for the day, the food was hot they were bringing it out, i fetched what i liked, and i had the same experience i had in Portland. I... More

In this area of pricey, sit-down restaurents this is a welcome change. Even at the lunch time, there is fine fare to be had and at a very affordable price. We challenge anyone to find a better salad anywhere than what can be made here! Then there are choices of meats (I like the ham, and the sausages with peppers... More

Went here on a recommendation. It was pretty depressing overall. The food was definitely low grade with the exception of the carving station. The ham was the best thing there. My husband had some things from the taco bar and he said they were fine. Overall, just not good. Mashed potatoes were lumpy, flavorless. Baked potatoes were shriveled. Baked beans... More

As far as "all you can eat" places go, this is a good value. The food was hot and fresh and replenished as needed. The one gripe that I had was the somewhat stingy servings from the meat slicing tables.

WhIle exploring the areas we came across this retuarant. My husband and i were a little hesitant to go in because we are from the south and did not believe there was a real country bufft in massachusettes. We saw a picture of a pasta dish in the window and a lot of people coming and going into the restaurant.... More
