One of the Best!!!

this is our favorite Italian restaurant in the Berkshires. We love watching Tom and his wife cook in the small kitchen, so try to reserve a table on the first floor. The salad is awesome and have never had a bad meal. Bring cash or your checkbook, since no CC accepted

We drove from NY to Pittsfield in torrential rain. Phoned to say that we were going to be about 10 minutes late, due to travel difficulties. The owner blew me off and told me to find somewhere else to eat---latecomers lose their table. Had been there before, gave it a nice review, and was looking forward to eating there again.... More

Service was quite slow -- unless you were known to owner. Owner rather abrupt ... actually said to us "get the hell out of the way" when we arrived two minutes early for a reservation. We think he was trying to be funny but it was a little uncomfortable. On plus side .. salad was excellent. On down side -... More

The pasta here is very, very good. But, it's their salads that make my mouth water just thinking about them. Delicious!!! They are a combination of fruits and vegetables and cheeses with an amazing dressing. The bread is really good too.

Elizabeth's is a family owned restaurant that will provide you with one of the best meals you have had. Don't be fouled by the unassuming blue and white house. It just add to the charm and personal feeling you will get from eating here. A lighter take on Italian meals, with the best alio e olio pasta I have ever... More

We made a reservation at Elizabeth's when we learned it had been highly recommended by friends. There was nothing disappointing about our meal or the service in this restaurant and by the end of the meal, we had settled in to the ambience, as well. Although it's a vegetarian restaurant, a lovely salmon dish was also available. Our guests raved... More

It's not in an area that you'd expect to fine gourmet food served in the most casual of environments. But Elizabeth's is a hot ticket for good reason. The food is spectacular and it's made with love. You get a delicious community salad for the whole table presented in a large bowl with serving spoon and fork and the best... More

The food is the same whether you eat upstairs or downstairs in this small restaurant. But the experience takes place downstairs where the cooking is in full view as you eat each extremely tasty course. Fresh innovative salads are served family style and come with the entrees. Most of the menu is vegetarian, but there is a fish or poultry... More

Not your typical Italian restaurant, if you open yourself to Elizabeth's dining experience, you will be rewarded with delicious Italian food with a bit of a twist (touches like cartelized onions, jasmine, lavender, etc.) Entrees ($20.50) come with fresh bread (whole wheat sour dough) & wonderful salad (it varies, but ours had apples, sugar snap peas, dried cranberries, cheeses, etc.)...
