heard this restaurant was recently reopened and very good so we thought we would give it a try.The wood fired pizza was probably the best I ever had. The wood fired wings were also very good. Service was excellent and remodeled interior was very nice with open bar to dining area and wood stove in bar section. Can't wait to... More

It's only been open for a month or so with the new owners, but we've now eaten there four times because it's so good. This is a neighborhood, comfortable restaurant in the center of Pittsfield, one block off the main street with good parking (and if their lot is full there's a big city lot about a half block away).... Sadly this restaurant has closed for good. Great place, delicious food, it is really too bad!

Over the Rainbow used to be mainly a pizza place. It has been transformed into an excellent restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient and my steak was perfect. Meal included coffee/tea, dessert, salad, etc. Atmosphere is OK, but I prefer the great-tasting, quality food over atmosphere. Highly recommend.

The worst resn't I ever ate it .ordered veal oscar ,the salad had brown lettuce with 2 onions, bread was like a rock, you could throw it against the wall.Veal was in a brown paste, with a piece of lobster on it that looked like someone spit it out and reused it.Asparagus was like a frozen sting bean cut in half.We were told... I've been to the Rainbow frequently and have enjoyed it until recently. I always order a Manhattan before dinner. When I ordered a Manhattan on my last visit it was about one half the size as usual but the same price of $8. I asked the server about the change (believing the bartender made a mistake) and she said they... More

The chicken dinner tasted like a Frozen TV dinner and cost $16. The chicken had the texture of an overcooked pork chop. The bread was saturated with butter. The dessert was very salty. The only positive aspect about this place was the server.

My husband and two daughters decided to stop in on a Thursday night. When we walked in we noticed that it looked warm and inviting, however, there was no hostess at the booth to welcome or sit us. We stood there for about three minutes as waitresses walked around delivering food to the customers, but none of them bothered to... More

We just returned from our 2nd meal there - a real gem in Pittsfield's restaurant scene. The food was simply excellent - the stuffed mushrooms easily the best I've had; the steaks are hand-cut and perfectly prepared. The vegetable side dish, often neglected, was a sumptuous butter-nut squash mousse - heavenly and sweet. A couple of nice touches: Dessert (just... More

What started out as "shaky" in terms of the quality of the food and service, has become a good option when we are looking for a good meal. Service had been very slow but is getting better, particularly if you sit in the bar area. The menu has many options, perhaps too many for the chef to focus on getting... More
