Understanding how damaging public reviews can be to a business or an individual I typically hesitate to post my opinions. In this case the food what was just that bad. I ordered a falafel wrap which came to me looking like a seven year-old's play-dough project. Then the falafel balls were dry and the wrap was flavorless overall. I ordered... More

It's Really too bad, this could be a great place to eat but the food is NOT fresh and the Head Chef (which he constantly reminds you of that fact ) IS the Real issue I saw when there. He mistreats the employees and IS NOT SANITARY AT ALL!!!!!!! ENOUGH SAID!!!!!!

We dined at Effendi's Oasis Thursday for dinner... what a wonderful experience! Greeted immediately by the owners, who provided a social/cultural lesson, and 'interpreted' the menu. Our service was not "slow" - just very "relaxed", yet attentive! (This is an exotic menu, dishes made fresh to order. People should expect a comfortable wait time. Delightful reading material was provided, as... More

I love Lebanese food and there is precious little in the Berkshires that can begin to compare. I've been twice, once for lunch and once for dinner and both times were outstanding. Altogether had chicken, hummus, kibbe, salad, baklava, grapeleaves and more without one sour note. Service is quite slow and the atmosphere isn't great, but the food more than... More

Let me preface my review by saying: This is not a fast-food restaurant. If you're in a hurry, and don't have time to sit down, enjoy the people you're with, and have a drink while your meal is prepared, this is not the place for you. I went to Effendi's Oasis on a Friday night for dinner with my family.... More

Our party of 4 ate here last night. We had 4 different different dinners. all were very good to excellent. I had the baked stuffed eggplant, lebanese style. served with FRESH pita bread. Unlike the previous reviewer our food was delicious. Another in our party had the Beef Shish Kabob--- cooked and seasoned to perfection. Likewise with the combo platter.... More

My father lives scarcely a stone's throw from this restaurant in Pittsfield, MA. On the day I partook of their offerings, this fact benefited Effendi's greatly, as once I tasted my takeout order, I may have been tempted to pelt this poor(est?) excuse for a Middle-Eastern eatery with its own stale pita. I've eaten at great, good, & average Lebanese,... More
