Clearly one of our favorite restaurants in Pittsfield. There is absolutely nothing fancy about this place - but the food is superb (all freshly cooked to order; mostly Colombian specialties), and the owners are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Service can be a bit sloppy. For soccer aficionados, there is always a game on the many TV... More

Although the decor has the look and feel of a local pizzeria, the food is anything but common fare. Our group had a good sampling of our server's recommendations. Their mix of South American/Latin/Caribbean food was all excellent - even more so for the price.

Go here if you are looking for tasty food, large servings and friendly service. This is traditional food, well done. Colombia may not be particularly known for the cuisine - the food here has reminders of Argentine, Peruvian, and Costa Rican meals I've had - but the food here was satisfying and well prepared. I loved my lengua, in a... More

This restaurants is one of my favorites for many reasons. It has a festive South American atmosphere, the service is super-friendly and the food is scrumptious! I almost always have Bandeja Tipica - steak, pork rind, fried egg, rice, beans, avacado, corn pattie and plantain. I first had this meal at a home in Costa Rica and the memory comes... More

We've been going to La Fogata since it opened several years ago. They have expanded in the past year and are all the better for it. The grilled fish and sides are very good and I love the chicharron. Great place for a casual and unusual meal.

We have never had Columbian food but have enjoyed Salvadoran, Brazilian, Cuban cuisines. Some of the staples are here. Pork and chicken, rice, beans are central. But that does not do justice. A special platter of chicken, steak, plantains, pork ribs and rinds was spectacular in flavor and generous in size. Delicious with or without the chimichurri sauce. A soup... More

If you don't like their food it's probably because you know nothing about authentic Latin cuisine, specifically Colombian (not ColUmbian as the owners are not from DC!!). I see some pseudo-travellers putting questionable reviews, but really, they clearly don't know what they are talking about. Excellent food, simple atmosphere, tremendous consistency.
